Requiem for a Tower.
Your argument is invalid.
Isn't that just Requiem for a Dream? It says in the description it's a "more powerful and dramatic version" of it but I didn't hear much difference.

From Wikipedia:
"Requiem for a Tower" is a version of Clint Mansell's Lux Æterna/Requiem For A Dream, re-orchestrated with a choir and full orchestra for a The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers theatrical trailer.

There is a difference.

I don't know why I like this song so much, but I do. Bjork is fantastic.

I find this thread's lack of Hans Zimmer disturbing.

As much as I love Evangelion's original series soundtrack, the Rebuild films have some extremely epic songs in them.

I can't stand Zimmerman for the most part. His music just goes no where. It's too heavy if you listen to it without an accompanying scene. It's like listening to a child tell a story he just keeps going and going never pausing never tieing one piece of his story to the other in any neat ways just goes on and on for the sake of keeping your attention and it overwhelms the listener eventually. Clint Mansell does what he does except better I'd take him over Zimmerman.

I'm not sure how to post videos, but look up the short version of "Sub Lift" by Henry Jackman, from the X-men: First Class OST

It's Zimmer, not Zimmerman. There's a very big difference. One is an Oscar winning composer [http://www.cinemasight.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/hans-zimmer.jpg] while the other isn't [http://img2-3.timeinc.net/people/i/2012/news/120423/george-zimmerman-300.jpg].

And funny you should complain about his music being 'too heavy'. A whole lot of his work is slower, mellower pieces. This thread however asked for epic dramatic music, and his louder works often convey epic a bit better (not saying that his mellower slower pieces aren't/don't convey it, I just figured that the louder ones would go over better here).

(I'd fish out more, but YouTube is being iffy on loading videos. Some movies that have great mellow pieces include Black Hawk Down, Inception, and Gladiator.)

I'm not saying that you're opinion on his work is wrong, but I just felt like pointing a few things out to clarify (hell, his mellow songs really help in calming me the fuck down).

P.S. - Run on sentences are not your friend.
