What is the best name for an enemy that you have fought in any game?

For me I think the Duff McWhalen from Megaman X5 is the winner.

I think "The Flood" was a pretty good name, to describe an unstoppable enemy that just swept away everything in its path through sheer force of numbers, especially when they were introduced the first time, and you hear the explosion on the far side of the room, get up on one of the ramps to see what it is, and see the floor moving towards you as they swarm. CRAP! SHOOT THEM SHOOT EVERYTHING!

Agreed it's name summed up it's form and was rather intimidating.

I thought that 'Metroid Prime' was a pretty good name for a boss. You fight a fucktonne of Metroids throughout the game (and, in fact, the series) and now you get to face the main attraction - in its prime form.

Also, I don't play Warhammer 40K, but the name 'Tyranids' always spoke of both evil and awesome all at once, as far as I'm concerned. Tyra-, like tyrant or tyrannosaurus (big scary motherfuckers in either case) and -nids to give it an insectoid aspect. Delicious.

Hurp'derp in World of Warcraft.
I've heard rumours that Deathwing is only going to the 2nd to last boss of the expansion, with Mr. Derp revealed as being behind it all.

OT: Vice President Aslik.

I agree with this... a lot.

Even when I go back to it on occasion now the old Xbox don't diminish the effect in the slightest. The cut scene with the mission recorder before hand is amazingly well done, and it gets even better after you've fought off waves of the infection forms and think you must be done soon, then the attack forms show up and start jumping across the entire length of the room to give you a death hug.

and I still maintain that the Cortana mission from Halo 3 is one of the most unnerving gaming experiences of all time, and I've played Silent Hill 2.

I'd like to throw a legitimate counter-attack to that. Namely, one of the original Maverick names before they snuck in Guns 'N Roses...

DARK NECROBAT

A most epic name AND a name to run away from really fast.

I don't know about epic but Exdeath is a pretty hilarious name. Exdeath sounds like an old death you had a thing for but you didn't quite see eye to eye on important issues so you had to call it off. Nobody wants to remember a bad Exdeath.

Yeah this. The pure cheese-factor of his name is of epic proportions. His final form is called Neo-exdeath, I wonder what Vern thinks that sounds like.

I'd go for a boss named "Shroooom!" from Earthbound. Doesn't get any better than that.

Well Vern thinks that Neo-Exdeath was trying to make a change but getting back together wasn't the best idea. We had both changed and not in a way that could bring back the old passions. This isn't part of my life I like to look back on *sobs*
