I thought the most epic was when Gon killed Pitou, but mostly the combo leading up to it. When Pitou got punched by a supercharged Jajanken, that was just a new level of satisfaction of seeing an enemy die in any medium I've seen.

Ending blow in Wind Waker. So satisfying...
also, a special mention to Portal 2.

Comics tend to have a few memorable death blows as well...
Bullseye vs Elektra, Spiderman vs the Green Goblin, Superman vs Doomsday...

One I did today was rather awesome (or yesterday, but it was within the 24 hour timeframe).

Mount and blade, I jumped off the walls into a lone enemy shooting arrows at my guys. He got hit by my guy and a tempered great axe. His body literally compacted into the floor, it was amazing.

That particular one in One Piece was nice.

In games, there are a few in No More Heroes that I thought were pretty stylish, though... I guess epic is more of a one-time emotionally charged deathblow.

Actually, on second thought:

I admit this is epic even without watching the rest of the series. Sure it's not full of angst absolving drama, but I think it has a better kind of epic!

I liked the Outlaw Star going right through Hazanko's head at the climax of the final battle. C'mon, ship through the brain. Tell me that's not epic.

Hahaha, thanks for that, I got a good laugh. Though the galaxy didn't randomly blow up with overdramatized Japanese screaming, so I'm not sure if it's more EPIC. ;)

Who said "epic" means "big"? Epic could just be awesome!

All the fatal blows in Splatterhouse. So much pleasure ripping arms off of things or tearing their lungs out while its still functional :)

My Bretonnian archer champion accepting a challenge from the opposing general (Chaos Lord) and then winning the fight in 1 turn. (admittedly he had been buffed to the eyeballs from the lore of beasts to make him str 4 toughness 7 but did you expect?)

That one in Saint's Row 2 where you stick the samurai sword through their chin. Makes me feel all fuzzy inside (my pants).

Seriously though, that one scene from Double Team.

Holy Cow, that's it! that's the movie I saw in Spain!
We were in a hostel, and everyone was going out at night getting wasted in clubs and bars. It wasn't my scene, so I stayed at the hostel and watched a Jean Claude Vann Damme movie in the lobby. It was in Spanish, with no subtitles, so I had no idea what was going on, but that was the ending, they were in a bullring, fighting half naked, in a minefield, there was a dude with a motorcycle rescuing a baby and a tiger running around. I always wanted to know what movie it was, but now I can find it and watch it with understandable dialogue I kinda don't, as it would ruin the magic of the utterly insanity of watching it that night.

*Sigh* Before they die, everyone should watch a Jean Claude Van Damme movie in a foreign language, and never translate it. It's the perfect film.
