So what do you think is the most epic moment in a video game. It could be a cutscene or a boss battle or anything. In my opinion, the ending of Shadow of the Colossus is the most EPIC thing ever!

Civ IV, two months ago, 2 am. I control the North American continent with an iron as a facist-mega capitalistic USA on Prince difficulty 18 civs scenario. The Aztecs had been beaten back in an epic war earlier in history. Europe and Asia are constrained in series' of alliances and false wars that I could not be bothered with. They had Riflemen, I had Modern Armor. India demands land, a lot of it in the South Pacific. This would not do. I go to Alt-click on India's name to take over the petty country, and in a series of alliances and military doctrines, effectively declare war on the rest of the world, excluding my vassal Mexico.

What follows was the most intense experience I've ever had in a video game, the conquest of the WORLD, the fact is was an Earth map just made it hit home all the more, especially when the battles with a souped-up China brought me to drop my entire nuclear payload on the world's capitals.

Epic.

My first play through of Call of Duty: United Offensive. My first time playing Noville. I've just gone through the massive battle and have taken out a few tanks, I heard about a tank from the North. Just as I start running, I hear about a tank from the West, and so on. I was quite worried now because of how many tanks there were. And how there was a quite a large amount of infantry. Then the P-51's came. Best feeling ever.

...Good end of Infamous 2 was pretty epic. The ending of MGS4 was epic...minus the actual ending lol.
Yea i'd have to agree. MGS4 sort of wins for epicness it but the good ending of infamous 2 was awesome.

Just got the MiniShark in Terraria...complete badassery...

Also the Battle for the Citadel in ME1.

And any EVE Online fleet battle where the node doesn't crash.

After Bill dies and you're heading back home in RDR.
I nearly broke down in manly tears of manly epicness.

Sovereigns death in Mass Effect. The music was epic, the scene was epic, the whole thing was just epic.

Metal Gear Solid 4 had a pretty epic ending... that went on and on and on... but it was great. It tied up a lot of loose ends that have been there since the very first game on the MSX computer.

"Most Epic Moment" might be more of a subjective point of view though. I feel a lot of old adventure games tend to become "Epic" during the actual long-term act of playing them... you know, the ones that are way too hard, way too vague and usually just end with "You did it! Thanks for Playing!"? I love those. It's the journey that counts, not the destination. ;)

Well for me it isn't the most epic scene, but the most recent one was in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

The D Project...yeah, that part.

This is not a huge action-scene-y Michael Bay epic moment but for some reason Shepard's renegade speech in Tali's trial is ingrained in my brain. Crowning moment of both heartwarming and awesomeness.

The most epic moment in a video game for me was in TF2.

I was a sniper wielding a huntsman on the bridge in 2-Fort, alone. A demo-knight dropped from the upper-level opposite of me, and charged right at me as I notched an arrow, waited, and fired. The arrow pierced his skull and killed him mere milliseconds before he hit me, the body flying right through. Immediately after, I swiftly took out 3 heavies, 1 medic, and an invisible spy before retreating from a hail of rockets as more of my team showed up to help. I fucking love that game.
