damn you ninja'd me

I think for some reason shes even more evil when she turns hot (like every time you decide you want to take a break it shows her actually winning..not many games do that)

way back in the day my sister was like "why can't she be the villan when shes pretty? thats way better"

Y'know in God of War II how two thirds of the Sisters of Face are actually sort of hot? And then you meet Clotho,

...and you're confronted with this 60-foot tall, grey, dying, potato-skinned monstrosity. AUUURRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHH-

It was always cool to see that whenever the game ended. She did seem a bit more sinister whenever she came out of that machine, huh? Plus, how cool would it have been to fight Tooty as a monster, maybe a mini-boss.

Hm. I may have just described what might have been possible, had Grunty won.

If by evil you mean stupid, lacking in motivation and unopposed because the characters around her are even dumber than she is.
That made me lol.

Oh, quick, take that back. You're about to get a lot of people telling you how bad, stupid, boring, (insert bad adjective here) that game is.

Damn. Too late.

On Topic: There have been a few females that I wanted to see dead. That lady from BioShock 2 deserved to die, but seeing as I always play the good guy, she always lives. That's the one person I would have no problem squishing beneath my Big Daddy boot. Killing your own child is just wrong.
And then there's
Kendra. I wanted her dead because I BELIEVED her. She played my like a puppet. After doing all that stuff for her, saving her life several times, she stabs me in the back, leaves me to die on a alien infested ship, and has the gall to to say, "See you around. Or maybe not." If only there was a way to torture her before she got turned into paste.

That pic looks a lot like the broodmother from DA: O (which, as I recall, someone actually got suspended for posting a pic of once, so I'll leave googling it to you). Maybe some "inter-developer inspiration" going on? LOLJK, don't flame me guys.

OT: I can't really say that I've ever found female villians any worse than male ones. Though there are quite a bit less. I actually tend to find them less effective, because they tend to be used as a sort of "Dark is Sexy" motif, and have tight fitting letter, and an inevitable seduction by the hero character, along side either a heel face turn (hers or his) or a dramatic refusal of the villains advances (to show how pure the hero is). I won't link tvtropes to any of my post, because I like the Escapist community too much to kill their entire day.

A non-game female villain that I liked was actually in the Sword of Truth series. Pretty terrible series of books towards the middle (not because their poorly written per se, just that they're heavy handed with the "moral"), but one of the main female villains in the early-mid books is pretty scary. She puts what's called a "maternity spell" on the female protagonist (this causes anything that happens to one person in the pair to happen to the other, more or less), and then gets herself violently raped just to cause the protagonist pain. I forget what the exact reason was for why she didn't just have the guy rape the protagonist, but still... That's pretty ridiculous. And that's not an isolated incident of craziness.

(I have no sympathy for anyone who calls spoilers on my post. The series is pretty old, especially the books that happens in. And I even managed to not say the villain's name.)

The Locust queen from gears of war. "Oh theyve kicked seven shades out of us. Shall we end this war and form a truce against the lambent? Nah, find me another unecessarily manly bad guy to try and kill these dudes!"

Got to agree with Sofia Lamb. It gets a bit ridiculous when she tries to prove Subject Delta is evil by flooding an entire section of Rapture and killing everyone in it. Or sending hordes of splicers after you and acting as if you're being unreasonable for not letting them kill you.

Other than that, I can say Flemeth... possibly. It depends on what her real motives are. Is she just an evil witch who makes evil schemes so she can live forever? Or is she just one step ahead in the cosmic game and actually has a far more noble motivation?

To me it's hands down Dahlia Hawthrone from the Phoenix Wright series,to whom death is just a minor annoyance. She hooks up with guys and uses them for her own means then kills them off or attempts to make a scapegoat out of them. She fucks with the legal system and destroys the life of Mia Fey going so far as to get try and kill Misty and Maya just to help her equally physicist aunt. Though Morgana can be just as bad, framing her only niece for murder and attempting to take control of the village via her 8 year old daughter. So together they are one of the most vile and evil duo's around IMO.

Dangit, I came into this thread thinking "Yeah, no one'll say Juri. I'll post her theme tune and everything then everyone'll love me".
Then you show up.

Anyway yeah, I vote Juri too. To make this post more than an elongated "This", I'll add that she takes genuine pleasure in torturing and inflicting pain.
Whichever way you slice it, she's not a particularly nice young lass.

Castlevania has some good (or rather, bad) ones, most of them being demons holding out some degree of seduction for the hero. The Symphony of the Night Succubus would be first on everyone's minds, but there's also Camilla from Circle of the Moon, Astarte from Portrait of Ruin who can actually seduce Jonathan to her side, and vampire Countess Bartley from Bloodlines.

It is odd though how if most of the major franchises have 'evil' women in them they're usually inhuman or twisted by some horrible trauma like the Beauty & The Beast Corps or Sniper Wolf in Metal Gear. There's always some degree of sympathy involved; you don't get a lot of complete monsters like Dolores Umbridge or Morgan le Fay in gaming.

There is one I can think of who perfectly represents style over substance without a trace of empathy- Melody Vilente from Wild Arms 3. Nothing but obsession with beauty and the completion of the Prophet's goal of changing the planet to support them and not humanity, eventually sacrificing even that luscious body for a more powerful demon body when offered. Clive occasionally lecturing her before they fight is one of my favorite moments in that game, as well as her main weakness since she will only focus on him out of anger.
