Those games tried way to hard to be controversial, so it was rather hard of me to take any of them seriously.e2density said:Soldiers Of Fortune 3...
Had i played that game, I'm sure it would have made my list. Given that I don't tend to play murder simulators (because obviously games like Bioshock are obviously so much less morally questionable...), I never went for this or manhunt 2.yersimapestis said:and noone says manhunt. that game skull fucked me.
Yeah Katamari is some twisted shitBloody Crimson said:Hm....I usually play T games, but one thing that's the most fucked up thing ever:

It's a win within a fail.
I definitely say Max Payne. Everytime I think that the movie is Okay (Not Great) I remember that Valkyr induced Nightmares within the hero, not imagined fictional angels, and the movie has a great lacking of the disturbing Nightmare aspect that made me enjoy it more than most games.XinfiniteX said:Oh and that part in Max Payne with the baby crying! AAAGHHHHH dammit make it stop!
The chase scenes, while awesome, were a little too bogged down with trial and error for my liking. But perhaps had I been better at them I wouldn't have had that problem so fair's fair. They're awesome regardless. Also, agreed on the mommy in the attic. Really, that whole game minus the fps ending was pretty fantastic. I really wish a good developer would explore lovecraft's work some more. The Madman said:Speaking of H.P.Lovecraft I thought Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth was pretty damned good. Despite the cheesy voice acting, some of the insanity effects were fantastic and the 'running through the building' part as well as the 'mommy's in the attic' bit were both extremely well done. And the Asylum scenes... damn.
