Prey mind stills spins after thinking about some of the tele-box battles and grav switches. And eternal ring was all emo for a week after beating it.

Probably the Myst series...not very screwed up, I know, but some of the character development freaked me out when I played the games.

Soldiers Of Fortune 3...
Those games tried way to hard to be controversial, so it was rather hard of me to take any of them seriously.

and noone says manhunt. that game skull fucked me.
Had i played that game, I'm sure it would have made my list. Given that I don't tend to play murder simulators (because obviously games like Bioshock are obviously so much less morally questionable...), I never went for this or manhunt 2.

Most of the games I've played have been pretty straightforward. Some are out there but I don't think I've played a fucked up one. I guess the weirdest would be Q-Bert, that bouncing, cussing, orange bag of WTF.

killer 7 definitely. I can't even explain the game and it's fucked up plot. the characters all belong in some serious psychiatric hospital or something. still one of my favorite games though

Postal 2. i can knock peoples heads off their shoulders with a shovel, pour gasoline on their headless corpse, set it ablaze, piss out the flames, smoke some cat food, stuff a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and wait for it all to end.

oh, that game was something else...

There's a nice little Mario style platformer out there called Eversion. Go download it and play it, it's a perfectly pleasant experience and a pretty fun little freebie game. Why am I bringing it up in a topic named 'Most f**ked up game'? No reason. None...

Speaking of H.P.Lovecraft I thought Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth was pretty damned good. Despite the cheesy voice acting, some of the insanity effects were fantastic and the 'running through the building' part as well as the 'mommy's in the attic' bit were both extremely well done. And the Asylum scenes... damn.

Speaking of Insane Asylum, the Shalebridge Cradle in Thief 3 was also great in that creepy sorta way, especially if you take the time to investigate the mystery fully. Freaky shit went down in that place.

Oh and that part in Max Payne with the baby crying! AAAGHHHHH dammit make it stop!
I definitely say Max Payne. Everytime I think that the movie is Okay (Not Great) I remember that Valkyr induced Nightmares within the hero, not imagined fictional angels, and the movie has a great lacking of the disturbing Nightmare aspect that made me enjoy it more than most games.

The chase scenes, while awesome, were a little too bogged down with trial and error for my liking. But perhaps had I been better at them I wouldn't have had that problem so fair's fair. They're awesome regardless. Also, agreed on the mommy in the attic. Really, that whole game minus the fps ending was pretty fantastic. I really wish a good developer would explore lovecraft's work some more.

Also, did you play it on pc? If you've got a halfway solid PC check out the Penumbra series of games. I think you'd like them.
