Most formulaic show

Anything by Chuck Lorre. Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory, Mike and Molly, whatever. Sitcom at its most boring and offensive. They're so cliche they remind me of that bit in Natural Born Killers.

House. But personally, I love the formula, so you won't hear any complaints about it from me.

Pokemon's awful for it - Ash and friends meet someone with a pokemon ash has to point dexter at (even though he's seen one half a dozen times), team rocket will hatch a scheme to steal pikachu and the new pokemon, they'll eventually fail and pikachu will shove 50,000V up their arse - causing them to explode and blast off into the sky.

Pokemon's awful for it because not only have they done it for almost 800 fucking episodes now, but because in order to keep the formula going correctly, they have to make pikachu's power level inconsistent as well as make Ash so incredibly forgetful it defies all logic.

Castle. I love it, it's a fun show, but by god is it the same thing over and over again.

-Show a victim being murdered
-Cut to Castle being silly with his family, then informed about the murder.
-Castle and Beckett approach murder scene with coffee.
-Castle makes jokes, Beckett makes frowny faces, they go back to compile evidence and get uniforms to question neighbours.
-Beckett comes up with theories, Castle makes silly theories, Ryan and Espo do some buddy cop stuff and make jokes
-They question a suspect who isn't the killer
-This leads them to another suspect who might be the killer
-This leads them to another suspect who might be the killer
-Maybe another suspect if they're feeling fancy
-Castle and Beckett find some new evidence and click who the killer is at the same time
-Killer is caught, Castle makes a pun. Maybe a Firefly reference.

I mean, some episodes do change it up a fair bit, and that's fun, but the main show just has the same (enjoyable) thing happening again and again.
