Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

It proceeds to have everyone betray everyone else, magic goes to science goes to magic, your very grip on reality is shaken, beaten, and left to rot, then you crash into Manhattan, get in an epic battle, and watch as people casually stroll past the people in combat gear and then Raiden goes to his bad romantic drama ending that contradicts almost everything you were just told.
you failed to grasp everything. it makes perfect sense but only if you keep EVERY DETAIL EVER in your head. so dont feel bad for not getting it. but mgs2 did have a totally fucked ending: the good guy (a bad man) loses and the bad guys win. completely, in fact. President Sears, I salute you.

Now, I can't think of the most fucked up ending, so I'll go with Red Dead Redemption. It's just so... wrong.

Also good: Borderlands and Screed2. Both fuck the protagonist over so royally, I couldn't stop laughing. Especially in Ezio's case.

Said before, but Bridge to Terabithia. Also Where the Red Fern Grows.

MASH and Quantum Leap endings both SUCKED!

I was disappointed in the DeathNote ending. It wasn't a bad one, I just would have rather seen the other guy win.

And every presidential election I can remember. LOL

The end of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. I expect it's the literary equivalent to blue balls.
Are you talking about the end of Adam's series (book 5) or are you including And Another Thing?

Heavy Rain can be REALLY fucked up, it can be the happiest ending ever but it can also be the most depressing one ever.

The Bridge to Terabithia. I swear the whole point of that book is to take children's dreams and crush them.
Endings like that really suck x( Especially that one. It tooootally freaked me out.

As for my most fubar ending ... I'm going to have to go with: Twilight: Breaking Dawn. OR whatever that last book is called. Out of sheer curiosity I read that book and I was absolutely gobsmacked at how much of a tease Meyer is. I was totally in to the book in the end, expecting a cool, epic and large fight ... but, yeah ... Not even a bitchslap.

Ugh, I hate Youtube video remixes.
Great video though.

OT, I dunno. Probably Atherton... but then again, all of both books were fucked up. Awesome, but fucked up and horribly written.
What do you call a two-book series? Is there a name for that?

I watched End of Evangelion when I was thirteen...

It... changed me... I can't explain it, but man, that is one fucked up end of a show.

Yes, I did understand it in its entirety at the time too.

Naru Taru (Shadow Star). It ends with the Earth wiping out all but two pregnant girls, leaving their kids to be the new Adam and Eve.

I still don't understand 2001's ending. It confused me to no end. Also the Black Hole, and Event Horizon, and just about every space sci-fi movie made before 1995, for whatever reason.

Yup, one of the saddest books I've read.
"Hey, here's all your hopes and dreams. Oh wait, now your dead."
