You know what, earth is a pretty mean planet when you think about it. It has a wide variety of mean terrains and environs. forests that are easy to get lost in, hostile deserts with scorching heat and little to no moisture, frigid arctic lands, oh and a continent where half the life forms are poisonous, 75% of the worlds venomous snakes dwell there, and 90% of the life forms there will kill you.
I would say Tatooine from the star wars universe is rather hostile. Giant sea of sand, plus angry hostile natives, plus a Krayt Dragon!
Pandora from avatar has to be in the running. Ginormous predators, the smallest of which is at least as large as a wolf, with tactics and temperament to match, and birds big enough to take down helicopters.
But ultimately I think the most hostile planet from any universe would have to be SR388. Not only is it the home of the metroids, but also the x-parasite, a deadly species that a single member of which could overrun and destroy all life on a planet within a few days.
