I got enough to fill a cruise ship; Brain Failure, A Day at the Fair, Face To Face, Fingertight, The Juliana Theory, Manana, Longwave, Letter Kills, Modern Day Zero, Nachlader, the aptly named Never Heard of It, Noise Pollution, Quietdrive, Raven Maize, Stellastarr*, and my band du jour, Babamars, who may not have a wikipedia page, but have had "The Core" played 188 times on my iPod since downloading it yesterday.

Gogol Bordello or some bonus band from Rock Band 2.
Of course, saying no one in my school knows them isn't saying much. They haven't heard of bloody Smashing Pumpkins.

...I am utterly amazed and bow at your feet; you're the only person in this thread who has managed to post something I haven't heard of. \m/

No-one Wished To Settle Here (one man band, beautiful instrumental music, FREE! Google and check out his myspace)
Explosions in the Sky (again, instrumental)
SepticFlesh (probably more well known, great symphonic metal, used to be "Septic Flesh", very important space!)
Moonspell (Gothic metal, couple of dodgy albums, some great)
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum (er, rather hard to describe)

Capillary Action. I can't really say a genre, because one minute it could be jazz, with metal the next. (Album to check out: So Embarrassing)

Hella. Better known, but weird yet awesome (Albums: For weird, look at "Hold Your Horse Is", for OMG WEIRD, try "Bitches Ain't Shit, but Good People")

What are you talking about?

And mine is Boards Of Canada.
I have a couple of Boards of Canada albums.

I am from Australia so some of these bands may be more common over seas. Here are my entries:

-Hercules and Love Affair
-The Kooks (I am pretty sure they are a lot more famous in the UK)
-Sonic Boom
-Thenewno2
-Television
-Unkle
-Van She

Anyone heard any of these?

Polish bands, like Blog 27 (GAAAH), Big Cyc (translates to Big Boob - pretty good band) or Formacja Żywych Schabów (Formation of Living Roast Pork - ditto).

Also, I do believe Kopriklaani (Swedish if I recall) is pretty good. Beer Beer is an awesome song ;d
