Before finishing my opponent off in Command & Conquer I'd often take the time to line up all my units in neat lines/rows/columns etc. This could take time, since units would usually turn to attack head-on. Ah, happy days.

Just Cause 2, I set out to 100% all the towns before doing the story, but I got bored of it and stopped playing. I got to a point where I was clearing games off my computer, so decided to just finish the story of JC2 and get all achievements in one fell swoop and ended up finishing the game with just over 80%.

As everyone seems to be a reload freak, it's a given, I like to think I know when I shouldn't reload, if I think/know someone is near and might attack me, as I pretty much only play singleplayers/PlayersVSEnemies (cause borderlands and L4D count) FPS games so most enemies have audio cues. But if no enemies are near, I will go through every gun making sure it's fully loaded.

Also when playing Okami, starting EVERY battle be peeing on the enemies or dropping a "bomb" to get demon fangs out of the enemies.

Playing Dead Space.. Had to shoot every body I saw on the ground.. Just to be sure. If I just put down a necromorph then fire a well placed shot into the space between its eyes... Just to be doubly sure...
Took me a second playthrough to realise that the kinetik thingy that you lift objects with is free, I thought it used the stasis energy, anyway, it's free to spam and you can't lift living people or living necromorphs, so I would body check for living necromorphs by trying to pick them up, if they dont budge, then aim carefully at the neck or legs...

I too have reloading OCD. What, one bullet missing? RELOAD!

I also had the weird problem of firing exactly one shot from my guns and then reloading right a way, no matter how bad the situation is. At least I do in single player, I can usually remember not to in multiplayer.

Edit: Oh, and another. I always play a black character if available. This one started thanks to Left 4 Dead (My friends made me play Louis because of the "Black guy dies first" trope) and Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction (The black guy in that game was the only American character, and because I was younger at the time I figured "Oh, well, I'm American, therefor I must play the American character.") It's more of an inside joke among my friends, but I've just embraced it and now take the option if available.

I did the same thing in fallout. I also speant far to long decorating my house. Thank god for the feng shui mod.
I started a game of DA: O over several hours in because I wanted to tweak what my character looked like.
I started a few levels over in mirrors edge because I missed a roll at the end of a jump near the end of a level(when I wasn?t racing).
I use to have a habit of hording health potions/ fist aid kits and special ammunition (or even normal ammunition sometimes) in games and sometimes go to great lengths to avoid having to use them like repeating a fight 10 times. When I?m feeling particularly obsessive about it I might redo fights because I missed a headshot and had to use more ammunition than was necessary. Kind of because of the ?if I use them now I might not have any later when I actually really need it? line of thinking but thats not really necessary anymore when in oblivion I had around 2000 health potions and was having to leave containers because they weigh too much and yet was still reluctant to use them.
Oh and closing doors and leaving one side open on wardorbes in Amnesia but that saved my ass a number of times.

Find every skill book in Fallout 3 and fit it into the shelves of my personal house.

I practically made a fort with a sign that said "No girls allowed"

Also Oblivion: Alchemy. No matter what class I play as I alays make sure to create a custom class where Alchemy is one of my core skills because no matter where I go I compulsively pick flowers an mushrooms...
On the bright side, being an alchemist in Oblivion pretty much means that you'll never, ever, ever go wanting for money.
o_O in all my plays of oblivion, i don't think i've ever so much as made a single potion...
Well, using Alchemy and creating potions can net you a great amount of money, specially if you have the Wizards Tower DLC. I managed to buy every buyable house in the game using it and upgrade them fully.

Everything in my house in Oblivion had to be perfect. I've spent countless hours decorating the shelves with books, bad ass looking weapons, and other odd ended objects. My pride and joy is my Table of Oddities located near the front door of my haunted house. It has left over items from quests like that guy's mom's head from the Dark Brotherhood quest, a bottle of medicine, a poison apple, and some other items that are just plain weird.

I did a similar thing with Animal Crossing. I use to arrange my furniture around to make individual rooms and I spent an afternoon changing the time on my GameCube to get all the K.K Slider songs.

In the Tenchu series, as soon as you were given the option to pick up and move bodies,I HAD TO PUT THEM SOMEWHERE HIDDEN AND CLEAN, out of respect for the people who would have to clean up after my ninja murder-spree.

On Spiderman 2, I did everything: stop crimes, do collectibles, side missions, etc.

And my reward? NOTHING!!

2nd) Finding every item in Epic Mickey, no matter how pointless it all is (not to mention making sure everything is absolutely perfect when I'm done).
1st) Still attempting to get 100% on EVERY level on Rayman 3. Harder than it sounds.

I was playing Terraria with my friend and I decided to dig a tunnel straight down from our house to the lowest point I could reach. So I did. A perfectly straight tunnel all the way down. Took me a while but that's not the end of my story. So I started my tunnel by digging 4 block wide and 5 block high chambers with a little 2 block hole in the top and bottom for the player to go through. My friend said this was a bit crazy so I relented and just dug a 2 block wide tunnel straight down with a platform and torch every 5 blocks down. This took me about 1-1 1/2 hours. this whole time my friend has been adventuring and he comes back, sees the tunnel, goes down it, goes back up and then leaves to do something else.

He comes back 2-3 hours later to discover that I went down the length of the tunnel lining it with stone and carving it into 4x5 chambers. The whole way down. Definitely the most OCD thing I've done in a game.

I have played Ostagar over ten times. I would get to the part where you first meet Morrigan, and then I would start over because I didn't like the way my character looked.
I almost did that in Dragon Age II, but it lets you redo your character if you have The Black Emporium DLC, so I was good...

Collecting every collectible in every Assassin's Creed game.

Catching all of the original 151 in Pokemon Red.
Still working on catching 'em all in Soul Silver.

In the Halo Reach multiplayer, I go around smashing all breakable objects on the map.

And a few others that escape me at the moment.

I've been playing a lot of Oblivion lately. I have been collecting many of the books i find in the game, and i've just spent the last hour stacking my collection of books onto the shelves of my house (it became a hell of a lot easier when i discovered a mod for placing books).

What is something obsessive compulsive you have done in a game?
Ugghh, I spent two hours doing that two days ago =S unfortunately, no modz for me. So I said f*** it.

Running through Crysis on the hardest difficulty and trying solely to use melee. Only melee.
On the upside I can do it blind now :D
What did you do about the end boss fight?

Unrelated: Last time I played through Crysis, I somehow managed to get to that fight without picking up the TAC Cannon. I ended up sitting there indefinitely with Psycho and irritating-archaeologist-woman shouting at me to fire it...
That doesn't count :p

I get very frustrated at Lego games [especially if I'm watching someone else play] because of all the studs on the floor, it makes the game look really messy and I have to tidy it all up.
