Now I get this chick was selling a rare game on this auction, but to pay over $13,000 for the whole deal seems still a bit crazy as they spent $10,000 for the game in the original box, and still shelled out $3,000 in overages just to win the auction. Ok, so only about five of those games exist, but it is just a game, right? Hopefully someone can make some sense of this for me.

okay, thats just brain-dead. most of the price was for the NES, which is extremely common amongst collectors.

John dolyman paid $317,000 US for a superman comic book, and my friend sold his 64 for $700 so this isn't too much of a surprise. If they have the money then they will do stuff like this.

Wow, $10k for the box?

Well, I would never shell out that kind of money personally. But hey, if they have the money, why not?

It was for the Stadium game, not the NES.

Stadium Events sucks anyway, even if the fact that so few full games exist doesn't change the fact that it's OVERPRICED

Wow, and I thought having to pay $50 USD for an NES at a local retro game store was overkill. This is just plain bullshit, even with the rarity of the included game.

Wait, what?! How in the hell did he manage that?
