any gaming moments which have made you really feel emotionally drained/sad or helpless like in the end of COD4, made you feel like an idiot puppet such as bioshock or made your heart race at a million beats an hour? (not literally)
Let us hear them!

Can't say I agree with that CoD4 comment. Didn't grasp me at all. It hardly had any story worth following.

I would say Portal. I wanted that damn cake, and after all that painful testing.... It's to tough to talk about, excuse me...

A Drug That Makes You Dream. Specifically, during the Aeka route, when

you just barely arrive on the school roof in time to keep Aeka from committing suicide. And then desperately talk her down from trying again...and while doing so, finally realizing the full extent of how emotionally broken she is after years of bullying, ostracism, and abuse.

And it certainly doesn't help that <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdzP5SF0We8>this music plays during the scene.

I could argue that the resolution of that route was similarly powerful...and surprisingly awesome, too.

the moment I first saved princess Peach from Bowser.

I was lied too when I was told she would put out once she was saved. Sadly this was a fabrication. I cried for hours.

I can tell that I need to get more 360 games but here is my list.

The Darkness... When Jenny dies.
Oblivion, yes I realize this one is a tad stupid but I honestly was upset and pissed off when I had to purify the Sanctuary in the Dark Brotherhood storyline.
Finally and oddly enough, I felt like I had failed Carlos when he died in Saint's Row 2.

Those actually feel a tad embarassing. XD

i thought that when Allen and Garnet died in brothers in arms road to hill 30 was pretty sad. i still wanna kill leggit, especially after HH when u find out what really happened. and i really hated how Gaz dies in Cod4. AND...planting the russian flag on the Reichstag on CoDWaW was pretty great too for "Being a powerful moment"

It has been said a zillion times before; but the death of Aeris in Final Fantasy VII. Gremio's death and later resurrection in Suikoden.
When you realise that you've actually been talking to Shodan all along in System Shock 2...

Not to mention feeling hollow or like you've just lost a limb at the end of nearly every JRPG ever made.

Several times in RE4. The final boss or someone of value would talk to me and I couldn't shoot them with any of the overpowered weapons I had because it was a cutscene.

I have a few, some less comical than others:

"I'll come back for you, I promise!"
"I know you will!"

I'm not sure why I like that one, it just hit me.

Crushing your friend with an elevator. By accident of course, but the reaction was hilarious.

Lisa's Death. Oh god...

"Stay by me Harry...please?"

Need I say any more?

Lirum's Death

Aww, that was just too sad.

I'm playing through half-life 2 e2 at the moment and to be honest I'm not loving the series as much as everyone else seems too, I'm enjoying it but it isn't smacking my gob with brilliance. It kinda surprised me though at the start of e2 when the hunter jumps on Alex as you are under a building and starts stabbing her up, I just felt "Jesus no! not Alex." I didn't realise how attached to her I had gotten, I also had no weapons so there was nothing I could do.

For some reason I have flashes of empathy whenever I'm beating people quite hard online. I just get a "Oh that poor guy, he isn't very good." kinda feeling. I can usualy shake it off by thinking that he would do the same to me if he could.

HL2 episode 2 - the ending, what a punch to the gut.

Planescape: Torment - many emotionally draining moments, especially the sensate stone that shows you a memory of Deionarra being cruelly manipulated - by you in the past. Plus so many parts in the Fortress of Regrets, like each of your companions, lost and alone, being killed by The Transcendant One.

Having just finished Mass Effect, I have to say that...
Ashley's death when she set off the nuke is the only time a videogame has caused me to feel such emotion, I was planning to leave her alive for roleplayings sake, but in the end something in me stopped me from doing that. I didn't actually like her that much, but it affected me anyway, especially as I was technically responsible.
