So, a couple of days ago I completed Mass Effect 2 on Insanity, but also getting the Perfect Ending in doing so.
All team mates alive, all crew alive, destroyed collector base.

Now this experience was rage enducing at times, especially when a Scion or two would appear, promptly followed by the deaths of team mates. The mission on Horizon and the boss battle of the mission to recruit Grunt had me foaming at the mouth. But you know what? I was having fun.

As the Reaper threat is made clear and the final credits roll on, I sat back and felt so incredibly good it hurt, as Mass Effect 2 got added to my "completed games" list in my Xbox Live profile I was busy texting a couple of friends who had since given up their Insanity run. The resulting "Ooo's" "Congrats" and "Wow's" gave me a warm glow in the pit of my gamer being. It's times like this I realise that sometimes overcoming a serious challenge is as satisfying as enjoying something "good".

This, along side completing MGS4 on Extreme with a Big Boss ranking are my all time most "Satisfying" completions.

Whats yours fellow Escapists?

Getting Brass Balls in Bioshock. I had a hell of a lot of fun getting it. The worst part was when I had forgotten to save after getting through all of the Medical Pavillion, and then getting offed by the required Big Daddy fight. I stopped playing for a good week.

I dont get a sense of completion on finishing a game as much as i do get it when i aquire all the trophies you can get on the game.

Halo:CE comes to mind because i couldn't finish it for about a year and a half (Got lost in the mission where you try and stop Keyes)

Went back to it a year and a half later and i did the mission in ten minutes, the rest of the game in a day, so when i finished it i was pretty damn pleased with myself.

Trophy wise the DeadSpace Trophies are my pride and joy. a symbol of utter completion and the death of a social life.

Heavy Rain - yeaaah.
Seriously, it's nothing difficult but it was really satisfying because I absolutely loved the game and getting all the trophies approved me as a sort of Heavy Rain expert.
Or at least I hope so.

That certainly was an epic feeling right? I feel for a guy I lived with at University, he got to the final screen and it said he had killed 3 people, and for the life of him he could figure out where he went wrong. Poor guy.
