So, a couple of days ago I completed Mass Effect 2 on Insanity, but also getting the Perfect Ending in doing so.
Now this experience was rage enducing at times, especially when a Scion or two would appear, promptly followed by the deaths of team mates. The mission on Horizon and the boss battle of the mission to recruit Grunt had me foaming at the mouth. But you know what? I was having fun.
As the Reaper threat is made clear and the final credits roll on, I sat back and felt so incredibly good it hurt, as Mass Effect 2 got added to my "completed games" list in my Xbox Live profile I was busy texting a couple of friends who had since given up their Insanity run. The resulting "Ooo's" "Congrats" and "Wow's" gave me a warm glow in the pit of my gamer being. It's times like this I realise that sometimes overcoming a serious challenge is as satisfying as enjoying something "good".
This, along side completing MGS4 on Extreme with a Big Boss ranking are my all time most "Satisfying" completions.
Whats yours fellow Escapists?
All team mates alive, all crew alive, destroyed collector base.
