Most satisfying score/award system?

Which point system in video games do you like the best? The old school score in the corner of the screen, the numbers coming right up in your face Call of Duty style, the you got this many kills and this many deaths style, the Numbers coming up in your face based on how much damage you did WoW or other RPG style, The medals system like the one from Halo 3 where it lists how many times you did an awesome thing, the achievment system or the you kill alot of people and you hear a voice saying domination or killing spree Unreal tournament style or you hear a nice sound for doing somthing right system? I like the nembers coming up in your face Call of Duty style the most because the bigger the numbers I see are the better I feel about myself. Yes I am a lonely nerd who uses numbers to determine my worth.

I think the Xbox achievement system is my favourite, just in front of the Call of Duty multiplayer ranks.
