Red Alert 3. After playing Tiberium Wars (C&C3), I was expecting another huge load of bullcrap, but this is probably the most fun I've had in a game for years. Orange Box aside.

Hmm...Disney's Gamebreak: Lion King 2.

Contains 4 of the most original and fun mini-games I've ever played, man.

Also, I enjoyed Star Wars Rebellion/Supremacy. 99,99999999% of the world population consider it a bad game. I just love it

well it has to be asterix and obelix XXL for what it's worth is a simple beat em up but it's the only game where you can grab a roman by it's foot and swing him around.
manhattan project was also a big suprise it's the best Duke game since DN3D.
The biggest one was the first time I played wario ware inc. when I first played was like what the hell is this... I almost wanted to return it to the store but then I got further and further into it and realized I just bought one of the most absurd and most fun games ever to be released on a handheld system.
Urban chaos (pc/psx) It had a semi free roaming enviorment with optional side quests and lots of buildings to climb on you could even commandeer cars (you're cop so it's not stealing) and all that pre GTA 3 it even had a good story to go with. if you find this game anywhere pick ut up, I find it still holding it's ground only graphically it's outdated but it still has some awesome effects
I also had my doubts with Doom II on the GBA but that one turned out to be great especially on the micro.
but with most games I know what to expect.

Samurai Western. Picked up really cheap and I can't put it down. The plot's nothing special, but the gameplay is fantastic, and it's a decent slash-'em-up, with customisable weapons and armour as well.

Jagged Alliance 2 - Still one of the greatest games ever made that no one has heard of or played.

Peggle, I thought it would just be shoot pegs->get points but all the "mascots" are just adorable or plain weird and it was colorful, bright and addictive.

I downloaded Bionic commando rearmed last week from the psn. I wasn't expecting much but it's really fun and i think it was only about 5 or 10 quid.

I think i picked up metroid prime corruption for about 15 from ebay, not bad for 20 hours game time.
