Never saw this one coming. You were expecting to take a group of colonists to your fabled homeworld aboard a ship that took 60 years and large percentage of your planets natural resources to build. Instead after returning from a mostly successful test of your hyperspace core, you find that everything you left behind was destroyed and the only survivors are the colonists still frozen in cryogenic suspension. Oh and pretty much half of the galaxy wants to destroy you.
Mix the SUPERB soundtrack with the awesome voice acting, and it becomes hard not to start to tear up a bit.
That moment changed the ENTIRE direction of the game, but made you want to finish the game even more.
although i didn't want it to happen, i was disappointed by dexter's reaction. i thought the end of season 5 was much more saddening, he felt like he had genuinely lost someoneLiquidcool said:The ending of Dexter season 4. That's all I'm saying.
I agree, despite not really liking the episode. I do think that Eccleston had a much more subtle and sad regeneration, with him smiling sadly at Rose, just before he regenerated. I do wonder what would have happened if the 9th Doctor's series had a bigger budget, and, to be honest, I think the (relatively) low budget made it more personal, more human, relying more on the actors and script than the later RTD series. Just me though.TimeLord said:Many manly tears were shed at the death of the 10th Doctor.
I didn't want you to go either David ;(
Youre a horrible horrible person for reminding me of that. It didnt happen dammit! Its so horribly final because i know we can never have the same old series back no matter what. Hes gone now. They both are.duckymcfly99 said:I just watched that episode. I did almost cry at that one.DEATHROAD said:What some people overlook: Fry's nephew. (Luck of the fryish)
I almost cried like 4 times during Serenity.
When Book and Wash died I almost lost it. Especially Wash.
This too is so true. So so true. Its easy to relate to the characters who are so good but so flawed. So perfectly human.Lumber Barber said:That Fellowship Of The Ring ending..
Boromir's death... Oh god why. He was one of the few who I could sort of sympathize with because he wasn't some sort of superhuman perfect warrior that's always right about everything.

I only really cried at Rin's neutral ending. Something about that girl man...Zeetchmen said:Lilly and Rin's good endings man.
So many tears of joy.
Torchwood's "Out Of Time" was sad, but it is no way a bigger tear jerker than Ianto Jones dying in Jack's arms.redisforever said:I agree, despite not really liking the episode. OT: Futurama dog, as usual, Torchwood Out of Time, The Illusionist (French animated film), and Red Dead Redemption, because really, who didn't cry manly tears at the end?
Well, now that was an interesting case. I saw Children of Earth twice. First time was at a friend's house, and I hadn't watched any Torchwood earlier. I later borrowed the season, but I really only had time to watch it when I pulled a muscle in my neck and had to stay home, but watching TV while in pain is not a great way to be emotionally involved, really. I think at some point, maybe next month, I'll sit down, and watch all of Torchwood, from Series 1 to 4, and probably then I'll have an actual reaction to his death. So, I'm sure it's very sad, but I was just distracted when watching it, both times.TimeLord said:Torchwood's "Out Of Time" was sad, but it is no way a bigger tear jerker than Ianto Jones dying in Jack's arms.redisforever said:I agree, despite not really liking the episode. Damn... I was going to say the same thing.Lev The Red said:the closest i've ever come was Jurassic Bark, where you find out what happened to Fry's dog and the episode of pokemon where Ash makes pikachu run away (i don't remember why, exactly).
however, and i may have said this before on a similar forum, my grandfather (a russian) cried when he saw the ending to World at War.
