Once I was swimming and my hand got hit by a waterski. I nearly lost 3 fingers and they had to put a ton of stiches. I couldn't move my hand for months and I was only 9.

Seeing a vagina for the first time. It was a close up on tv (late night :/) then it zoomed out
"oh my god thats a gory axe wound- AUUUUUUUUUUGH!!"
Mind you I was 6 when it happened. I can't look at girls the same ever since.

When i was little, i often had to take out the garbage. One bright Hawaiian morning when i was 9 or so, i had to take out the trash. As soon as i stepped outside with a big large bag full of assorted rubbish, i saw 3 mongooses on our doorsteps, f*cking each other in practically every position possible. Since i knew better than to mess with mongooses during their happy time, i just stood and watched for about 10 minutes as they went at each other before they went away.
Later that day, i saw a mongoose completely crushed by a Ford pickup. In that moment, i realized that life was not all fun and games. Did any of you have a similar experience?
Nothing as bad as that.

When I was 4, I underwent an operation to cut an eye muscle, to correct a crossed eye. I woke up during the procedure. Metal instruments (scissors, knives, etc) scared me for years afterward.

When I was 5, my mother dropped me down a flight of stairs. I had fallen asleep and she was carrying me. It was presumably icy out. I don't recall much of that at all, but the bloodstained towel, I remember. Numerous stitches to my scalp.

When I was 9, I slammed a glass screen door shut on my sister. It shattered, and one of the shards pierced her leg. That was a mess. It left a long scar, and she's never let me forget I did it.

That same year, I set the neighbor's back yard on fire. I remember it clearly. At the time it seemed an excellent idea to put it out with kettles of water from the kitchen sink. It wasn't good enough. Fire department got there pretty quick though, which surprised me. No serious damage, just grass and greenery.

When I was 10, something happened that I've never told anyone about, and I'll keep it that way.

When I was 13, I was molested by a neighbor of ours; a 30 - 35 year-old woman. That one doesn't bother me much for some reason.

The list goes on, but past 13 doesn't really qualify for "little kid" anymore.

Thats one of my main fears. waking up during an operation in time to see that your chest is opened up and your heart is beating madly.

I dont know you guys tell me whats worst here

First little kitten I had ever started to care about something non hum, I was in grade one. My grandparents dog broke free again and ran into my yard, grabbed the kitten right in front of my eyes. In the end there may have been around five pieces of kitten thrown among my front yard, as well as on me, and they kept telling me after how nice the dog is.

Second I had Shortly around the same time my mother was in hospital having a major surgery, and we're one of these families that mom keeps us together dad looks in every once and while throwing money towards us. I loved my mom and was scared to think what life would be like living with my father. Twice I had my mother die on me before I was ten.

Third I won't even go into detail. I was sleeping in my parents bed, heard don't worry he won't wake up, and then things followed.

Don't they have nurses who monitor that? I remember seeing a documentary where a little kid woke up during his surgery, but a nurse noticed and she immediately put him back to sleep.

Yeah but fears don't have to be rational. Some people are afraid of clowns fir instance. Haha CLOWNS! Their only purpose is to make you laugh. Ha-ha-ha.

Might be more attentive today. My own experience happened more than 30 years ago though.

Watching X-Files when I was 2. All I remember is the bug thing that controlled people and made their eyes go all funny, it really freaked me out. Although that probably isnt the worst childhood memory but since I have a thing for repressing memories, more should pop up during my lifetime.

When I was a kid and we where out in the woods, I accidentally walked a little too far from the others and got stuck in a swamp, slowly sinking down.

I was saved, but I was scared.

I have a strong contester. When I was in school I agreed to fight with a guy "officialy" as I kinda kicked his ass during the break, nothing serious, we were mostly fooling around when he got serious.

So after classes we met behind the school to settle this. One thing he didn't mention was that he will bring around 30 of his friends with him. While friends isn't the most appropriate word as they were our worst school thugs. So the fight starts, after I punched him in his face 2-3 times someone swept me of my feet, then someone put a jacket over my face. Than around 20-30 people kicked the shit out of me. Well, I guess this jacket was a mixed blessing because it protected my face from a few nice kicks to my face that I felt anyway and almost knocked me unconscious.

Pretty important lesson I learned there. Actually quite a few about a nature of man. And how I hate people.

Oh and there is another one. Once, for no reason someone punched me in the face in the corridor. Among widespread laughter and me feeling like shit, I hoped that it was over. Well, unfortunately it wasn't. The next day I saw one of those thugs approaching me with a big, wide smile and I knew what was coming. The thing is I'm no real weakling, so I was prepared. When he throw a big lame haymaker I blocked it and threw mine (just as lame but mine connected) and sent him towards the wall. Of course his friends, twice as big as I am, proceeded to punch my face until I fell down but I made my point. No one touched me later.

Another lesson. Stand up for yourself even if you will be fucked afterwards.

Pretty much my entire childhood looked like this. One nice rollercoaster of pain and humiliation. Now that's fucking traumatic ;p Pretty much explains why I'm such a social fuckup I am now.
