But,and this is semi-related.In 1971 a band called The Buoys released a song called "Timothy" about 3 miners trapped under the earth after an accident.When rescued there were only 2 (well fed) miners and Timothy was nowhere around.

Far from being obscure,the song went to like #15 or #17 or something on the Billboard singles chart.About 5 or 6 years ago I read somewhere that it was the only Top 25 song that had not been used in an advertisement.
