We've lately been seeing some threads talking about the most over-hyped games, movies, etc. so lets turn those tables around and discuss those under-appreciated gems that never got the credit they deserved. My fellow Escapists, what are the most under-hyped things you know of?

* ArmA2 - sort of.
* Men of War, it was such a good game but hardly anyone knows about it. Finally an RTS that required strategy and tactics.

- Psychonauts - Tim Schafer's masterpiece, although I'm sure everyone here appreciates it!
- Second Sight - From the makers of Timesplitters, a clever and fun game in their trademark style.
- TR: Angel of Darkness - Yeah sure the game was glitchy and had awful controls but the story was pretty good.
- Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - Some say it's awful, I say it's captivating and intriguing.

XIII never got the fame it deserved, i heard.
It had a really great story and stuff.
Also it didn't get the successor announced at the ending.
AND THAT IS WHY YOU DON'T LET GAMES END WITH CLIFFHANGERS!!

The Shadow Hearts series. An RPG series that rivals Final Fantasy imo, then Nautilus went bankrupt. :'(

Points towards any of Introversions releases. While they are small games, all available on Steam for around ?7 now, they are all amazing games imho.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. A shining example of so bad it's good!

Games - anything made by the companies that call themselves Q: Q Entertainment & Q Games.

Movies - Anything by Terry Gilliam or Jim Jarmusch. Their movies deserve to be way more popular than they are.

Music - Tom Waits.

How hyped it is may depend on where you see it or read about it. It also depends on what
country it came from and how much money for ads they could provide.

Psychonauts
The Myth Series (may have something to do with the third game being a failure)
Multiwinia

That game was crazy fun, controlling things from a paint can to a soldier and having to jump from thing to thing worked wicked well, I had more fun with that than most (keyword most) FPS games out there (those included are KZ2 and Battlefield Bad Company 1 among others)

And there's one part of a game that people probably overlooked that I played so many times, the snow/sandboarding levels in the first Tak games were SO fun, I played them so much I lost count of how many times I did them. The game itself was wacky and pretty fun, but these 2 levels in particular were REALLY fun ^^
