Most unlikely place for an internet reference

So I was reading the September issue of The Economist today and I had come across an article about Cuban tax reforms enacted under President Raúl, but what I found interesting was there was a picture and it was captioned "Half your monies are belong to us", referencing Cuba's 50% income tax. I was quite shocked to be honest, out of all the places I thought I would see a Zero Wing reference The Economist wasn't one of them.

So fellow Escapists what do you think of this, and where is the most strange or unlikely place you have ever seen a meme or internet joke referenced?
