Drive! Drive so fucking much!

Also;
Terminator.
Starship Troopers.
Rambo.
Elite Squad.
The Raid.
Kill Bill.
Django unchained.
Saving Private Ryan.
Dude go see Only God Forgives, its a pseudo follow-up to drive from the same director. Gosling stars as an American Gangster running a drug ring out of a Thai Boxing club with his brother. Long story short his brother gets murdered in a revenge killing (he did some unspeakable things to an underage prostitute) and Gosling gets caught up in a cycle of revenge and retaliation. Torture scenes, limb lopping, face smashing, nasty stuff with boiling oil. This film has got it. It's gotten incredibly mixed reviews, mostly due to the violence (seriously if you're a pro movie reviewer how can you deduct points for a movie being too violent for you?). I really like it though, same soundtrack mixer too as drive, so you know it's gonna be excellent.

Thanks for the head's up, just checked it out on IMDB and it doesn't come out in the UK till August 2 so will have to keep an eye out for it.

Cheers.

I think Hobo with a Shotgun.

Plot synopsis is titular, and it's awesome. I think it was intentionally gorey, like the trashy B-movies of yore.

Red Dawn, the origional. Billed as the most violent movie ever made when it was released. My, how far we've come.

Also read the most violent book ever written when it was released, Starship Troopers...yeah...

Probably one of the Final Destination movies... I'm not really a fan of murder-porn movies, so I tend to avoid most horror/slasher movies.

Non-horror Genre? Probably Saving Private Ryan or Full Metal Jacket.

StarShip troopers is not violent at all.

Its got 2 battles in it that are really explored in depth, and their so detached from the violence its actually kind of funny.

A Serbian Film. Guy fucking a girl chained to a bed, then he cuts her head off with a machete and then finishes in her corpse. At the end, he shoves his 13 inch dick through the swollen eye of a guard all the way through his head. No censor, no covers, get to see it all. Good movie.

Hobo With A Shotgun.

In the first 5 minutes, a dude gets dropped in a sewer grate down to his neck, has barbed wire wrapped around his neck and then the wire is attached to a car that drives off.

A bikini clad girl then comes and danced in the fountain of blood.

Also "The Plague" did all kinds of wonderfully fucked up things in that movie...

Holy crap, another person with the same answer!

Now I feel the need to watch that movie again...

Hence the irony in it being declared 'the most violent book ever written' when it was published.

Gore-wise, probably either Saving Private Ryan or I Saw The Devil. Horrifying-massacres-wise, Man of Steel, with its hundreds of thousands of implied deaths, many of which are caused by Superman with a complete disregard for human life.

Actually almost all of Nicholas Winding Refhn's work can be included in this thread, he is a self proclamied "violence pornographer" who freely admits that he finds violence erotic in nature. So yeah.

Drive
Valhalla Rising
Only God Forgives
Pusher (the entire trilogy)
Bronson (fucking great psuedo documentary about Britain's most violent inmate)

A couple of years ago I saw a low budget martial arts movie called "riki oh: the story of ricky"

it was pretty violent. Also, I turned on both the dub and the subtitles, and discovered that they were completely different, so it's like 2 movies in one!

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. I've seen films that could technically count as being more violent on the surface level because it showed more blood and gore but none were as inherently violent as this one. This film is driven by revenge and the consequent cycles of hate and with this context in mind I can't place any other film above it. People often debate about who to give their sympathy to, I reckon they all deserve it.

Man, none of the stuff anyone's posted here compares to a Korean movie called 'I saw the Devil'

Actually there's a number of Korean movie movies like this that are just fantastic (and hard to watch)

Sympathy for Mr Vengeance
No Mercy for the Rude
Oldboy

You're all seriously softcore
Someone else mentioned A Serbian Film, and I've seen those you mentioned. If "Oldboy" qualifies as "seriously violent", something is wrong with the world. Honestly. If "violence" can be expanded to anything that involves serious injury done to others, then I'd mention "The Human Centipede" in its First and Second Sequences.

There's violent, then there's straight-up sick or morbid.

I'd say the first Saw wins points for being provocative in the earlier years of the Teen Slasher Renaissance. A lot of outright gory flicks tend to elude to violence, but shy away from it. All you see is the end result of all the injuries and physical abuse - even if that end result is usually disturbingly juicy.

The Girl Next Door.

The movie is about a little boy (Supposedly kind of based off of a real event) that, over the course of a few weeks, witnesses a family torture a girl to death in their basement. The mother carves words into her with hot needles, her 3 (Less then 14 year old) boys rape her CONSTANTLY, she spends most of the film hanging by her hands, and she's eventually killed after they castrate her with a hot fire poker.
the worst part is that it is based on the actual murder of Sylvia Likens by Gertrude Baniszewski. I've seen a documentary and the actual torture was worse apparently.

Any of the Final Destination movies
Hostel
Fist of the North Star TV series: There's gore and heads exploding in EVERY EPISODE
Robocop
Starship Troopers
Violence Jack
Black Lion: That movie was gory as fuck. THAT is why love it so much!
Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma

I've seen some hentai that deserves to be on this list, but I'll stick to this unless someone asks.

Schindler's List. That movie is fucking brutal. It's a great movie but I can't bring myself to watch it again.
Mind you I never really got into the torture porn thing so some of that might be worse.
