It's Mothers Day, as I just learnt from Cyanide and Happiness.
Anyone doing anything special for their mothers? (That I could copy on short notice). Or do most people not care about such holidays any more?

Edit:It's not Mothers Day in the UK! Yay!

Use this space to call me an idiot or times when you have thought it was some other day, school uniform days for example.
I'm mostly awaiting the former though.

Or discuss Mothers Day if it actually is where you are. (Unlucky)

Wasn't Mothering Sunday a couple of months ago?
That comics today, and I Googled "Mothers Day UK" and it said it was today. Unless my computers date is off in a very coincidental manner I do believe it's Mothers Day.

Which sucks because I have plans that I doubt my Mother could be shoe horned into.

It's not UK mothers day. I can assure you. I've already given my mum a present. AGES ago.
Why, thank you!

My friends just told me it's not as well. Stupid internet comics taking advantage of my fragile state and making me believe otherwise.[hr]Thread is now about something else. Either days you wake up thinking it's something different or how much of an eejit people who are easily swayed on what day is it are.

Well it is today. I got a little present some flowers her favourite chocolate and i drew a card. Placed it on her livingrooms table yesterday evening and today she came back from holiday and i was hero of the (mothers)day :D

Its the first time i did really made some effort for that,i use to project my not-care-about holidays on everyone, but i guess thats not completely fair.

It was Mother's Day here in Australia today, we got her the Michael Jackson 'This Is It' DVD, and a $50 voucher for a book store.

Mother's Day again, huh...?

Well, I'd get her a box of her favorite chocolates, but I live about 700km away, so someone else will just have to put some nice flowers on her headstone.

Woke up early, walked down too S'leven, and bought her breakfast on 5 dollars.

It's not great, but it was sorta last minute.

Besided's, last year I bought her a cake...

You know, in nearly my entire time on this site, I've recognised you. As far back as I can remember, your avatar has been present.

But I have never noticed it moves before.
That was exactly what I was going for, I left a huge gap so people would think they saw it move and stare at it till they give up or it blinks again.

Glad it works!

AGH I just did that. I waited for it to move or something, then I got all twitchy and started to glare at the screen, which is really bad for my eyes.
Then just when I gave up, and started to blink away the dryness, I could've sworn it just winked or something. Then I had to wait a whole minute or so before I could get on with my life.
Now I know it blinks, and I have some sort of obsessive disorder.

OT: Um, well, we just made my roomates mum a nice marbled cake, and watched Sherlock Holmes. not a bad mother's day so far.

as said (up there ^) it is mothers day in Denmark. But as i am at my dads this week, i will just call my mom and say "ello, happy mothers day. Bye". Oh how i love the -100 responsibility that comes with being a teenager. :D
