First part is really fun, nice 50s sci fi vibe, reminiscient of Lost in Space etc...

I was wary about the whole alien thing but it looks like Beth just wanted to have a little fun with the last add on, it's pretty tongue in cheek.

No broken bits yet, fingers crossed it'll stay that way...

I'm watching my wife play it as I type this. She's sweeping every inch of corridor to make sure she doesn't miss any recordings.
Seems cool so far, but she hasn't really gotten to any plot progression, assumnig there is any. The recordings themselves are pretty interesting.

And that's all the information I have, she only started 20 minutes ago.

not that i'd buy it yet anyway... Fallout 3 and CoD 4 don't want to work
and I'm trying not to spend my money (and so far succeeded :O )

I've been checking all day, constantly going to the Fallout 3 page, but still nothing
It's strange, when I compare my dashboard with friend's versions, they have different features :| I wonder why?

I'm currently downloading it. On paper it sounds fuckin' awesome. The Lone Wanderer of the Wastes versus the Men from Beyond the Moon! Sounds like some old alien movie. The screens really got my attention, and the new weapons sound awesome. Especially the Cryo-Grenade. I just wish it'd download faster. And that I had a bigger hard drive. But what're ya gonna do.

Since this is the last bit of DLC (and since I've pretty much murdered everyone and everything else that looks at me funny in the Capital Wasteland, Point Lookout and the Pitt) maybe I'll do a retrospective of Fallout 3 and the DLC.

Yeah, at this point you might as well wait for the GOTY edition. You'll save yourself some money too.

It's great fun, though I preferred Point Lookout and BS.

Technically it's fine, apart from a lousy framerate.

New weapons are pretty cool looking but not all that powerful, I'm ending up using my Xuanlong assault rifle more than the alien weaponry.

The aliens can be tough little fuckers! There doesn't seem to be any visual distinction between the tough ones and weak ones but I may be missing something.

They're harder. They wear shields that make them tough as fuck

Oh god. Time to bring out the Alien Blaster I geuss. Irony, eh?

What's more ironic is that there's bairly any alien power cells on board. The new weapons run on a different type of alien ammo.
