Yes, sad as it is, motion gaming has weaseled its way onto the PC.

Don't believe me? Here's proof: http://store.steampowered.com/app/901666/

Why is it that motion gaming won't die already? There is no need for this kind of gimmicky crap on the PC. Let console gaming struggle with this blight in gaming's history, and leave the PC out of it. We already pretty much HAVE 1 to 1 motion control with a mouse, what the hell do we need some kind of ridiculous device like this tarnishing what is the greatest gaming platform there is?

So, what are your thoughts on this thing?

I know the PC gamers are better gamers and better people than those on consoles,[footnote]This is sarcasm, just to make sure.[/footnote] but I think they should be receive the same things console gamers do, no matter how much they think their opinion applies to everyone who plays their bloody system.

The link doesn't work. Also, who cares. Don't like it? Don't buy it. The PC, IMO, is the best place for it anyway. Look at all the great things people are doing with Kinect. If people (programmers) can easily get PC motion controls they can easily start making amazing programs and stuff that goes well beyond gaming.

The link works fine for me. Try looking up "Razer Hydra PC Gaming Motion Sensing Controllers" on the Steam store.

And yeah, the whole "don't like it, don't buy it thing" is true I guess. I just don't see the need for it. Motion gaming seems like some kind of fad that refuses to go away, just the same as 3D and touchscreens.

Btw, I'm curious as to what "great things" people are doing with Kinect? All I've seen come out of it are crappy ripoffs of Wii titles and dancing games.

The 'great things' have nothing to do with games. The Kinect has been hacked for use in some very interesting engineering and programming projects.
