You know what I'm talking about.

Those huge enclosed stationary ride vehicles where you climb into a mini-cinema with a choice of 10 movies or just one. And as the video starts up with its massive surround system the vehicle starts moving hydraulically and all throughout the video the ride humps and bumps in synchronization with whatever video is playing.

Have you ever been in a ride like this, and what movies do you remember?

I clearly remember Astro Canyon Coaster and I've seen bits of Glacier Run (which I rode when I was younger).

Aw man! Simulators! I haven't seen one of those since the pier burnt down.

We had three machines, way back when, and we had either a glacier run, multiple different real time rollercoasters or slot car racing.

Slot car racing was by far the best one, but the glacier run wa done with a hammer head machine, which meant when you felt like you were going upside down, you really were upside down. Kinda took the simulation out of the thing, but it was so fun.

There was a camera on the inside of that particular one as well, so you could see people freaking out inside. Genius.

Ahh, I love the simulators. although they seem a bit crap now. but they can be interesting for a few mins. I remember the Astro Canyon, and an Egyptian one, but I think those are the only ones I've ever done...

Only one of those I've ever been on was this big 50~ person one at Disneyland Paris with a Star Wars theme.

It was awesome.

I remember going on one at Brighton pier, it was epic. I was the only person in the simulator, and I was quite young at the time, so I got a bit scared...
And I think the movie was a rollercoaster ride.

EDIT: Upon looking at the OPs videos, I think it was the Astro Canyon.

God it was a long time ago since I rode one of those things...Can't remember any of the movies
