MotorStorm Apocalypse announced

Sony and Evolution Studios have recently announced a third game in the Motorstorm series, Apocalypse. This time around, the game is set in a city being destroyed by an earthquake. The track changes in real time, with bridges and buildings possibly being destroyed at any time. Vehicles are also customizable this time around. The game is set for release in 2011.

Well, what do you guys think? Looks an awful lot like Split/Second to me, but that could always be a good thing. Certainly looks as though it could bring some new features to the table. I eagerly await it's release next year, at any rate.

Well, it certainly looks interesting. Although I only played the first one, and that was because it came with my PS3. It does look promising though, I might have to give this a try once it comes out.

I think I'm going crazy because that guy looks like he's on a skateboard or something in the seventh screen shot.

I agree, it looks like a more post-apocalyptic version of Split Second.

If the game isn't set for release until 2011, how did they already get what appear to be fully rendered screens? I hate when games do that crap and then the actual game ends up looking nowhere near that good.

I imagine they have premade a couple areas for demos and publicity. That's my best guess, anyways.

I think he's just running, though adding in skateboarders would be hilarious.
