I love bethesda, Very few developers would add nice little additional features free with their patches, defiantly one of the 'good-guy' developers
Good gods I had successfully blanked that mod form my mind till you brought it up.weirdguy said:couple of things: the giant spider you've been trying to avoid actually does exist and is really honking big, but it only lives in like, one specific area
and i was more freaked out about the massive chaurus nest because at some point you realize the number of eggs you have picked up in there exceeds the populations of all of the major cities combined
also, you don't have enough ponies
you will have more of them and you will enjoy it or else
(seriously, if you don't want them, don't mention them)
So what kind of hilarious bug do you want to see appear in this update? The Rogue Wolf said:Not to worry: Bethesda's Quality Assurance department works hard to ensure that the maximum amount of bugs are present in every release!Antonio Torrente said:How many of you expect this added feature to be bug-free and requires no outside help (read:user created mods) to work properly?
Well if there's gonna be bugs, let's at least hope it's hilarious.

Well I am gonna go with the most possible one like your weapon just disappears after mounting or after swinging for no apparent reason and can only appear again by dismounting. The Rogue Wolf said:Horse gets confused, rides a mudcrab. And I am now officially actually excited about this patch. Thank you, sir!SajuukKhar said:Apparently some NEW Dawngaurd stuff was added in the newest patch
Yes, but there is no crosshair. Not G. Ivingname said:Can you use the bow while mounted on a horse with this patch?
That would make it a bit tricky...gigastrike said:Yes, but there is no crosshair. Not G. Ivingname said:Can you use the bow while mounted on a horse with this patch?
Yep, unfortunately. I do intend to get it for PC eventually, but I'm short on cash due to saving up for Bronycon and intend to use the little extra cash I have left to get Minecraft for me and my little bro. When I do get it though, modding those out of the game is literally the first thing I'm doing. It still sucks that they don't even make those f***ing things optional.Clive Howlitzer said:I am guessing you are on console and not PC, right? If not, there are plenty of mods to remove them.V da Mighty Taco said:*le sigh* They add this, but still don't add an option to remove those f*cking finisher cinematics. I know I'm alone on this, but those things were seriously gamebreaking for me.
Yeah, the blog link and full patch notes state that Ranged combat is included... not sure if that includes magic, but I'd say it's tied to the games duel wielding system, just with new animations. Not G. Ivingname said:Can you use the bow while mounted on a horse with this patch?
That's pretty much the best way to describe them... try too soon, mmm it's okay.... let it cook and add a bit of spice (mods)? Fucking Yum!rembrandtqeinstein said:bethesda games since morrowind are like chili, the longer they cook the better they get
You know what would be even more awesome? Mounted bandits. Imagine, roaming the lands when... wait! What's that? By the Nine it's a mounted raid!Namehere said:Seriously? Am I misreading or are there people posting on this site who are unaware of mounted archers? Wow!
Frankly, lord of the land style player I am, I'm thrilled with the idea that a bandit will now leap out in front of me on my horse only to be trampled and finally, if that isn't enough, horribly slashed with whatever weapon seems to suit the occasion.
Maiming. This game now requires maiming! Giant war hammers, animated crushing blows from horse back. Come on Bethesda, we're counting on you!

There were some horseback-mounted spear use in ancient times (wielded with two hands or thrown etc), but anything people would recognize as a lance is pretty much a medieval thing and came as a result of a bunch of horseback riding advances (spurs, cantled saddles and stirrups) that were needed to get the proper control of the horse. On top of that it's really not a one-on-one weapon outside of jousting and is more meant to be used en masse to cause catastrophic damage to the tight infantry formations of the time. I have a bit of a hard time seeing them work in Skyrim's more Iron-Age-y setting.HobbesMkii said:Won't they need to introduce some freaking lances? What's the point of being mounted if you're not able to take the same advantage of it that people took for thousands of years?
Now, if we're talking about adding spears and javelins and letting people use them from horseback I'm totally on board with that. That'd be awesome!
