So, I've been meaning to ask someone about this and The Escapist seems as good a place as any, am I meant to rinse mouthwash out of my mouth with water afterwards?

I have taking to doing so because it tastes horrible and I don't want to accidental swallow the damn stuff lurking in my mouth, also, I am slightly concerned about leaving it in my mouth due to the fact that when I rinse and spit it out it... fizzes, in the sink.

But I'd like to know if I was doing the right thing or maybe if I should just switch to the salt water mouthwash that some have suggested as a less corrosive form of mouthwash?

I thought a through cleaning with your brush and good toothpaste was all you needed...unless I'm missing something?

Apparently, using mouthwash gets all the germs your toothbrush misses, kills any that might've been lingering on the brush and got back into your mouth.

I am seriously considering just switching to salt water mouthwash, though, all this fizzing and burning is annoying.

I like the burning and the minty taste; I've never washed out my mouth afterwards.

Just give it a while, it does take some getting used to at first, but after a while the burning won't bother you as much.

The fizzing is from you swishing it around. It's just a bunch of tiny bubbles caused by the splashing around inside your mouth.

But yeah, anytime I use mouth-wash, I rinse my mouth out with water afterwards.

well first of all, NEVER GET ALCOHOL BASED MOUTHWASH as it's rather dangerous for your health plus your mouth never stings.

rinse your mouth with water after mouth wash? I suppose if you spit it out (I mean all of it) then I cannot see any problems if you did not, you are likely to receive the same shit if you brush you teeth then never rinse your mouth besides the warning is there mainly for downing the mouthwash rather than removing all traces otherwise it would have never made it to the shelve

Just curious, why is it dangerous to one's health? Educate me random person on the internet.

I'm still wary about giving myself fluoride sickness, so I like to just rinse as much of this crud outta my mouth as possible.

Alcoholic mouthwash has been linked to mouth cancer...

Then again, what hasn't been linked to cancer?

Well, I just put my toothbrush once a week in a full cup of water and mircowave on high. Then once done, clean my teeth 4 times a round per part, rinse mouth, go over my teeth with a wet brush to get out everything (tongue included) salt rinse, water rinse, done.

Never understood why to go for the burning stuff, I mean soap kills germs, but it doesn't burn your skin.

Eating and breathing have been linked to getting cancer, so, far as I can tell, cancer is shockingly normal.

How often a day would you say a person needs to brush?
Also, have you heard about the whole "don't brush directly after eating, it can do damage" thing?

You brush before or after eating?

its rather self explanatory isnt it?

would you wash your mouth with vodka every morning? well anways in cases if you accidentally swallowed some of the mouth wash your liver is not going to be rather happy not only that there are suggestions that it contributes to mouth cancer however last time I checked it wasnt solid but that still leads me with the question I stated at the beginning
would you wash your mouth with vodka every morning?

Alcohol kills germs, and it'll get you a nice morning buzz on, so....yeah.

I thought there was some solid science behind the belief. The warning was in caps after all.

To answer your question, well no, I moved out of my dorm...ah, college. "gazes off in the distance"

Well, that's more with children, as I noticed you edited into your post there.
I'm more worried about calcification of your pineal gland, but that's a bit iffy on the evidence, I guess nobody wants to prove that the American government and many other governments have been *shock* *horror* doing some things wrong.
