Ergh the idea of Invader Zim going the way of Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon is just.....wrong.

That's not what I'm getting at. They wouldn't have to change a single thing about the style of Invader Zim and could just crank out new episodes exactly like the old ones and they'd be a perfect fit for Adult Swim. That show was disturbing as hell. As I said already I have no idea how the fuck it got aired the first time.

If the movie is going to bring me proper closure of Anrnold parent whereabout then so be it! (So many cartoon forever trap in cancell limbo.)

Even then from one of RebelTaxi video (the lost episode one?) mention the scrapped (no longer?) was going to set in the jungle where his parent map located from that journal but for some bizzare reason some of his classmate went with him.

Really? This is the show they bring back? The premature demise of IZ was the greatest travesty that channel committed against its viewers, but Hey, Arnold! is the show they decide to bring back.

Most reasonable people can agree that Invader Zim was NOT a show for kids. Excellent piece of television but how it ever slipped under the radar is beyond me. I can't see Nickelodeon ever bringing it back despite how much we might all want it back. Probably be more likely to see the rights get picked up by Adult Swim if it ever happens at all.

That happened when Ren & Stimpy moved to the then-new Spike TV, nothing to do with adult swim. The way I heard it, they'll never buy a show from any network part of the VIACOM group, so don't hold your breath for them reviving Beavis & Butt-Head.

As good as IZ was, I'd still prefer the SWAT Kats to be brought back. The SWAT Kats only had a season and a half.

That's because it was in the same time slot as Captain Planet and it was more popular. Ted Turner is a really petty man.

I always thought Jane Fonda was really responsible for Captain Planet, back when she was married to Ted Turner, and my theory is she held their sex life hostage until he caved in to her demands.

Not sure if this is relevant or not but there was a successful Kickstarter for that. I was part of it but didn't have enough money for the cool shirt...

Honestly if Nickelodeon wanted to get some mass amount of views, they'd bring back Invader Zim because that show got a ton of people addicted to the series. For it to of been canceled is still one of the biggest mysteries to me, let alone a sign of Nick shooting itself in the foot.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, Invader Zim is such an adult show that I find myself genuinely surprised Nick aired it at all, much less let it stay on air as long as it did. Odds of them bringing it back in any capacity are zil to none.

Don't dig up old nostalgic shows for the sake of a quick buck, hoping to bring on old and new without doing something, make something new that's a cartoon! This is what you get for constantly trying to remake Drake and Josh! Everyone is tired! Don't make something even older tired, now, too!

What is it to you if other people enjoy this? People are making new stuff all the time too. So why not both?
