Alright, I'm sure it's been done sometime before, but I'll ask away. What's you're favorite old movie, and why?

I'm 16, so a lot of films are "old" But I mean a classic. One you could watch repeatedly and never grow sick of. Mine has to be A Boy and His Dog. That's one of my favorite movies, because its almost a fallout-ish movie, but it's also about buddies. I almost cry a little every time I watch it. (If you do watch it, avoid doing so on an airplane, it does contain some "naughty" scenes.)

So Escapist, what's your favorite old school film?

*EDIT* Im gonna say post 90's. It'd be older than me at that point.

Like, how old?

If it's limited to "not this decade", that'd be Pulp Fiction.

If it was "black and white" or "over 30 years", it'd be Eraserhead.

If it was "pre-1970", that would be Yojimbo.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. That's the best damn Trek movie ever made.

I also like The Graduate. It's just really good, and touches the heart and mind of college students who are worried about the life ahead of them.

The oldest movie I enjoyed is Metropolis. I don't get why people don't use a blue screen effect to better create the surrealism of those old black and white shorts.
