A couple days ago, I was laying on the couch after watching a documentary about possible water and life on planet Mars. This got me to think about a possible movie plot that could be used with the new information gained from planetary studies about Mars, mixed in with some fake but "possible" SCI-FI problems that could occur.
The plot of this movie is that in the future, tens or hundreds in the future, there is a major water shortage due to pollution and lack of recycling. Fortunately, up-scaled scientist were able to extract water from Mars to use on Earth. The scientists discoverd the Marsian water had a unique structure for its molecules, making it possible for scientists to "reproduce" the water. After a few years, strange events began to happen. After several tests and examinations, the scientists figures out that a microscopic bacteria somehow combined with the extracted water and an uncommon recessive alleles (alleles not the dominant trait of a person but can be passed down to the offspring), which was causing people to either die off or mutate into flesh-eating creatures. The scientists figure out that the bacteria was acting like a viral disease, so the bacteria could infect and spread quickly like the common cold. Eventually, scientists figures out that reversing the spin of the electrons around the Marsian molecules creates an anti-bacterial substance that will destroy the destructive bacteria. Throughout this movie would be comical and sci-fi scenes to create more interest.
