It has certainly been overused, and it is not like they are only in comedies or lighthearted action movies... You can hear it in "Missconduct", "Birdman", "The Hunger Games", "Watchmen" and the DC movies.
At this point, it only works as a reference to other movies, like them trying to emulate Star Wars or Indiana Jones. It is not worth much of a complain, but sometimes it takes you out of a movie.
