No one will be able to convince me that any film I enjoy is bad, the fact that I like it is what makes it good... If it were truly BAD then I wouldn't like it, would I?
Anyway for specifics I'll give another vote for Sucker Punch and also Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, I honestly can't understand any of the criticism that movie got and still gets. It was awesome.

This movie seems universally despised among anime fans, and I can never quite understand why. Whether it's its kiddy nature or the fact that those Jonas and Cyrus kids do the voices in the dub, which I never watched anyway, I don't know. The musical score alone makes it impossible for this movie to be bad.

battlefield earth: i seriously don't get the hate on this movie. it's a decent action movie with a half decent story some 'splosions and a happy ending. it might not be Shakespeare but it's far from unwatchable.

I had heard that they are attempting to bring Daft Punk back, but it's up in the air at the moment as to whether they'll actually do it.an annoyed writer said:

It's okay to like things that are objectively "bad". It's okay to dislike things that are objectively "good". There are plenty of, say, bad films that I like. Yet, I'll openly admit they are bad.
Take Army of Darkness, for example. It is objectively, in almost every way, a bad film. It's simply awful. Even so, I love it. In fact, it may be because of it's bad quality and cheesiness that I enjoy it so.
On the other hand, there's something like The Godfather. Objectively speaking, it's an immaculately crafted film. Expertly shot, written, acted, and directed. But, for the life of me, I can never get into it like many do. It's just not for me.
What I'm getting at is, one's personal opinion on a particular piece of media doesn't determine whether that thing is objectively good or bad. However, it doesn't matter. The only thing that is important is whether, to you, the thing is enjoyable.
Also gonna go with Sucker Punch. Bob's review might have influenced this decision but after watching it a few times I still enjoy it and nothing anybody says will change that.
Now there are some movies that you just can't convince me are good. The Eragon movie adaption was complete and utter garbage, but I think most people agree with that.

The Boondock Saints 2: This isn't quite a mass-hated movie but a lot of fans of the original hated it. A very fun and stylistic movie that I loved.
Matrix Trilogy: Like many, I was confused about what the hell happened to The Matrix. Then, a few years ago, I watched all three in a row on a day. A LOT of what was confusing and didn't make sense became clear once I saw them for the second time in a row.

Sucker Punch: That additional scene added to the DVD/Blu-Ray I think completely changes the movie. Unfortunately, most people who saw the movie saw it in theater (the scene was not included to keep the movie from having a R rated...something I STILL don't understand since there is nothing naughty about the scene)
...did people hate Scott Pilgrim Versus the World? It doesn't have a great imdb/metacritic score so I'll include it because it's one of my favorite movies ever. Hilarious and incredibly entertaining.
I'm among the fans of the first Boondock Saints movie that hates the abomination that is passed off as Boondock Saints 2. Think I bought it, watched it once, then snapped the disc in half, and burned it.
I'll agree Sucker Punch was pretty enjoyable for me though. I don't know why other people can't enjoy it, but for me, it's better than alot of other movies that people love (any Transformer movie past the first is a good example.)
Tremors 3. I've seen quite a bit of hate directed towards this movie, and I honestly don't get it. I mean, sure, the CGI is legitimately awful, but it's not a deal-breaker for me, and as far as I'm concerned there's enough Burt Gummer in this one to more than make up for it. Just that scene of Burt getting cut out of a graboid's belly alone should be worth sitting through a little made-for-Syfy level CGI.

I still enjoy the first two live-action Ninja Turtles movies (The first moreso, but the second one's still enjoyable)

I like Spiderman 3, it's the best in Raimi's series in my opinion.
Aside from Pearl Harbor and Transformers 2, I like all of Michael Bay's movies. After he made Transofmers 2, suddenly he became the Antichrist and I don't really understand why.
Doom is pretty good. It doesn't follow the plot of the game but Doom's plot is about as important as a porn star's IQ.
Die Hard 4.0 may not follow the spirit of the previous Die Hard movies but it's still really entertaining.
The prequel to the remake of The Thing was decent.
Halloween 3: Season of the Witch - people hat it mainly because there's no Jason Vorhees in it but I think it's the best one.
Blair Witch 2: The Book of Shadows. I really dislike the first one (the supposed "good one") and like the hated sequel.
I've seen 4 movies by Uwe Boll. I disliked 2 (Alone in the Dark, House of the Dead) and liked the other 2 (Postal, Rampage).
Those are the ones that come to mind right now but there's a lot more where that came from.

People thought that Scott Pilgrim was a bad film? I loved that film!
OT: Pacific Rim: I dont think it did as well in cinemas as I hoped it would, sure the story is cliché and some of the acting is fairly... meh. But it has Idris Elba in it which is a plus, and there's just something appealing about watching a huge hulking mech rocket-punch a huge hulking alien. Its just FUN.

I did the same, and honestly, I liked them. 2 was pretty decent, with some FANTASTIC action scenes, probably the best in the whole series, and 3 was... well, it was ok. I certainly had much worse experiences with some movies. As a whole, pretty damn good series.tippy2k2 said:

And everyone seems to despise Lady In The Water, i thought that movie was pretty good overall, with some funny moments. To me, Shyamalan didn't start to suck until he made The Happening. Signs is still one of my favorite horror movies, that's another one people seem to hate. Was the water thing stupid? yeah, but it didn't seem that important to me, i mostly like the movie because of the mass hysteria and family drama, it's an interesting take on the genre.
