I just think movies need sunshine in the first place.Cargando said:The 'special something' as you said, I read as being that element of warmth that gives a film a human quality, like you find in Little Miss Sunshine.
Precisely, these big-budget Hollywood films take themselves too seriously. We need more stuff like LOTR.Federalist92 said:I just think movies need sunshine in the first place.Cargando said:The 'special something' as you said, I read as being that element of warmth that gives a film a human quality, like you find in Little Miss Sunshine.
all modern movies seem to be filmed on sets where the producer didnt pay the lighting bill.
Its one thing when its raining, or when the characters are in a depressing mood, like they're at a funeral, but when they're standing in an indoor room, with windows, why are films always so dark.
I keep asking myself, "why are they studying that corpse in the dark when theres a perfectly good light swith right behind them.
movies are ok when they're dark, but there needs to be a balance.
You cant have a film when its constantle night.
(unless that film is set during one night, or over "30 days of night")
Thats a great example of how a film can have tons of action and battle scenes, that are dark and rainy, and yet the rest of the time when no ones trying to decapitate anyone, have beautiful sunshine, in shiny green forests.Cargando said:Precisely, these big-budget Hollywood films take themselves too seriously.
