I've only seen two movies twice in the cinema. The first was Avatar (go ahead, take the piss! Saw it once in 3-D and once in 2-D, and the 2-D experience was more enjoyable) and the second was The Hobbit.

I saw Avengers 3 times, twice in 2D and once in 3D. Mostly because I had 3 groups of people that wanted to see it and they were paying.

I've never seen a film more than twice in theaters, and even then the only ones were The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, and Star Trek Into Darkness.

I saw Pacific Rim earlier today and I'm strongly considering seeing it again. Maybe even a third time if it doesn't perform admirably at the box office this weekend. Heck, I'll buy a dozen tickets and not even bother seeing the movie.

I see a lot of movies twice. Once with my family then once with my extended family, or once with my friends then once with my family, or any combination of that.

Movies in recent memory I watched twice because of this:

1. Iron Man 3
2. The Avengers
3. The Dark Knight Rises
4. The Hunger Games
5. The Croods
6. The Hobbit
7. Megamind
8. Rise of the Guardians
9. Wreck-It Ralph
10. The Amazing Spiderman

There's a shitton more. I don't like watching movies twice.

I saw The Dark Knight twice in theaters. I saw the first Pirates of the Caribbean twice, once at midnight in Las Vegas at the Buffalo Bill's hotel and casino for some reason. I remeber seeing Revenge of the Sith twice, once with friends and the other with my family.

I don't see many movies in theaters anymore, so I doubt seeing a particular movie twice will happen anytime soon. Although stranger things have happended. >.>

I saw Avatar twice in the cinema, though i'm pretty sure the most recent thing i've seen in the cinema was HP 7 Part 2, and that was what, 2011? Something like that. I don't go to the cinema much, if it wasn't already obvious.

My friend and I went to see Iron Man 3 4 times, it was always showing when we finished up classes. Pretty good film.

Oh and I've seen Over the Hedge and Kung Fu Panda more times than I can count. They were both cheap weekend films at my cinema for months.

Two Spring to mind
Firstly the good version of "Death at a Funeral" The british original not the american ripoff I saw that one with anyone I could convince to go with me so I would have an excuse to see it again.

Sceondly was "Not the Messiah" went once alone and then a parent told me they were going so I joined them and sang along with every song

A few times:

First was Coraline. Saw it in 3-D, and thought it was the best-looking 3-D movie I've ever seen (I still do). I wanted to see it one last time in 3-D before it left theaters, since I'd never get another chance to see it like that.

Second was Scott Pilgrim. Scott Pilgrim... was kinda my favorite movie ever when I saw it (It still is). First I saw it with my sister, then I watched it again by myself, then one of my friends wanted to see it, so I saw it a third time.

And the latest time this happened was Avengers... four times. First time I saw it was with a friend. Then I saw it by myself. Then with my dad, and one last time with my sister. My sister was visiting from another state, and we had always promised each other that we'd watch Avengers in theaters together if we got the chance.

Most recently, Pacific Rim. Fantastic both times, better without the 3D.

I also saw The Hobbit a second time because I simply HAD to hear Misty Mountains again on theater level speakers.

I think the only movies I've seen more than once at the cinema was Disney's Tarzan and Hercules. Tagged along with my sister, who was the one who wanted to see them again.

As for OP's late addition:
Inception and the latest Batman movies. Last time I was at the cinema was when 300 was new. The price skyrocketed after the LOTR movies. Believe the average cost is 100 SEK(~£9), though it has probably gone up more since 2006. It's way too high to justify the experience to me. Might as well buy the DVD/Bluray and watch it as often as I want to.

The only one that comes to mind aside from a few I saw twice in theaters is Titan A.E. I must have seen that like 4 or 5 times in theaters since that was because it came out before there were DVD's for everything so I wasn't sure I would ever really be able to see it again.

I was able to find the Special Edition for cheap at a pawn shop. It now has a proud spot in my DVD/Games shelf.

let's see, most recently it was Man of Steel twice, different friends wanted to go see it on different days, and I enjoyed it both times, I don't always get the opportunity so it's nice when I do,

Captain America was also twice, as was Wreck-it Ralph, also Avatar and The Other Guys

as a kid I can remember going to see Hercules at least twice, and the Phantom Menace at least 5 times (I was 6)

The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers twice

The Return of The King three times

I saw Revenge of the Sith twice

Hsrry Potter snd the Deathly Hallows part 2 3 times (different friends and the 3rd time was for the free poster which I gave to my sister as a present)

the Lion King in 3D twice (I love that movie, and the soundtrack on those speakers, 'nuff said)

that's all I can think of right now, I'm sure there are more
