So right now I'm seconds away from disconnecting my pc and moving out to a new place.

Whilst that is rather boring and nothing special. I just realized that thus far I've already moved 5 times in my life (6 if I include those 2 months abroad studying) which compared to everyone I know is quite a lot. Most people I know only moved once maybe twice if they went to Uni and even then they stayed in the same town/city.

Meanwhile the shortest distance I've ever moved was 66.3 km with the longest being more or less 11100 km.

So my fellow escapies, how often have you guys and gals moved around and was it a serious distance or did you just move down the road?

Also for all you people out there who haven't. Ever planning on moving away from your hometown and settle elsewhere? Or do you like it just fine where you are right now?

Only moved once so far.

It was about 5 miles I'd say.

But I plan to move around quite a bit during and after uni.

Also for uni I'm moving to a different city 100 miles away.

I moved three miles south of where I used to.

If/When I enlist, I will end up moving whoKNOWS how far and how often. So we'll see.

I've moved 6 times in total. The biggest move was from Sheffield to Surrey, and then back from Surrey to Barnsley.

In my 19 years of existence I have lived in 11 homes and hence made 10 moves, stretching across Sydney. I live with my parents so I probably won't be in this house for to long (probably just till the end of Uni, about a year and a half). I'm a pretty experienced mover.

Lived in one house 'til I was four, then moved to a bigger house on the other side of the same village. Moved out at 20, went to uni in a different town, moved back at 22 to the same house, and then moved into a new flat a few months ago. So 4 moves but into the same house twice.

I moved for the first time out of the city when I went to faculty, but I switched the place I lived a few times there, so that was hell! After 5 years I came back home again in my parents house, and will be moving in my own apartment (the same town though) in two months... really, really looking forward.

Many times, fucked up my education too much. I plan on moving out to QLD in a few months with a friend in a 2 bedroom apartment. I honestly can't wait.

Moved to Germany when I was 2, then back when I was 5. And that's it (other than moving out of my parents' house, of course).

I've only moved twice, but the first was when I was about two, so I only remember the second time. Just glad that the only military member in my family is a vet, otherwise we might be moving around quite a bit. Then I'll probably move again when I get to uni, but that's still a few years away.

I've moved twice. Once when my parent's got divorced and my mother moved to a new house. It was about 3 minutes walk from my father's house though.

Then she wanted a bigger house, so she sold it, and is now about 8 minutes away from my father's house.

Bleh I moved back into my parents home as well. No offense to them I love them to bids. But I'm moving out now and NEVER wanna go back there. I´d rather join the legion then having to move back in with them.

Two of the many things I learned during the time abroad, 1: I actually become outgoing and fun when I´m living on my own and 2: I 'hate' my little sister and do not wanna live under the same roof as her anymore.

I've moved about 8 times, although two of those are me living at Uni during my first and final years (I lived at home in between). Largest distance travelled would have to be moving from North-East England to Germany when I was 3 months old, then back to the UK when I was 4.

My Dad was in the RAF so I moved around England a fair bit.
