Hey, had a quick question for any New Yorkers that might be on the board. I'm moving to Brooklyn on June 1st. I think it's Flatbush and my apartment is on Clarkson Avenue. I've been to NYC many, many times and I used to have a cousin that lived in Park Slope, which was really nice. But I keep hearing mixed reviews of Flatbush.

I hear everything from avoid it all costs, to it's an up and coming neighborhood with a very diverse population nowadays. I'm moving there regardless but I'm just wondering what anyone can tell me about the area. Specifically the block I'll be living on, Clarkson Ave.

Thanks for any feedback!

I haven't been to Flatbush much myself, but from what I know, Clarkson isn't too shabby. Almost quaint. Definitely getting better in the next 5 years, that's for sure. To be fair, it depends where on Clarkson you are - the closer to Prospect Park, the better.

Flatbush avenue is huge, you're gonna have to be more specific.
Or is Flatbush what the real estate agents are trying to rename BedStuy?
