Mowing the Lawn

I enjoy mowing my lawn. It gets me outside in the pleasant summer weather, and I enjoy planning and plotting my course. I can just let my mind wander as I meander around my lawn. I have a great sense of accomplishment afterward, and the smell of freshly mown grass is simply divine.

So, fellow mowing enthusiasts, let's hear your musings on this summer activity - do you have a regular mower, or a riding one? Do you wish to rail against any hated obstacles, like sticks and rocks? Any funny mowing stories or advice?

When mowing into a ditch with a push mower, always make sure your footing is good. My friend slipped and cut the top of his foot off when we were in high school.

Evil, mowers are the ultimate of evil, forcing me from my place of comfort to push a huge metal death machine to do a job that could be done by owning a herd of sheep

A Riding One.
I don't have any Sticks or Rocks in my lawn, just occasional Mushrooms (I know what you're thinking, and No, I'm Clean.) Well once I was mowing the lawn while trying to eat a Turkey Sandwich, when I ran over the Flowers. Man.. My Mother was Pissed.

I like mowing grass and working outside, just sucks when the humidity gets ungodly. Its a release for my stress and when i'm done i have a sense of accomplishment.

I hate mowing my lawn. It's nothing but a giant hill. And the mower doesn't help much, as it is quite old.

I do enjoy mowing everynow an then its just when I reach the backyard... its like a pocket-no air enters/humidity stays in and all that grass/smoke seems to get into your lungs bleh

Mainly because I have one of those old school push mowers (I have no idea why).

That really sucks. But I'm always careful while mowing, and there aren't any ditches in my yard, so I'm not too worried.
