Yeah it does but I find it highly amusing seeing how many thick people there are on my contact list that download the virus, I actually had about 12 people on my contact list that had the automated message sending me the message about some photo on a website that just screamed VIRUS at me.

Yeah it's annoying luckly only 1 person on my list has it and she is blocked since I don't talk to her.

Two people on my contacts list recently messaged me with an MSN virus in the past week or so. Kind of annoying, but I left them messages that they need to virus scan their computers and sort it the fuck out.

One person thanked me for telling him, the other I haven't heard back from :p Yeah, it's pretty annoying I must say, but if a lot of people get them, just copypasta a response and move on

I just don't see the point in them.
There was one that I got (yes I clicked the link when I should've checked)
all it did, was stop me from going onto websites that downloaded anti-virus software.
A virus, that does nothing but stop itself from being removed, sick one...

Yes it does. Quite frankly if you get fooled by those sort of things you should die and let natural selection take it's course.

I just ceased to use any sort of messenger service. All the cool kids are doing skype or facebook chat for some reason...

but yea glad I don't have this problem. I run linux anyway so it probably wouldn't affect me.

It is annoying after a while, but also amusing. I always ask something about any link i am sent anyway, though some of my friends click away without thinking.
But most people I talk to regularly are smart/geeky enough to know fake links when they come anyway. Those who don't are blocked, as others have said here

If you're stupid enough to fall for one, you deserve a virus to be honest.
I have seen some very convincing ones, especially the ones who mention your name, and say something like "OMG, you in these facebook pics are funny!"
It's always the same people who get hacked. It's their own fault ¬.¬
