1) Bioshock =/= Bioware. I'm pretty sure we've all caught that one by now.
2) Agreed with him here.
3) So his problem is that an AI... a COMPUTER... has no emotion in its voice? Wow. Never let this guy get anywhere near GLaDOS, HAL, or Data.
4) A quick google search, and I found out that there's a way to turn the commentary off. Moving on.
5) Eh, I could go either way on this one.
6) Annoying, yeah, but not THAT annoying.
7) In the same sentence, he asked "who would want to play" a game, and stated that it was "commercially successful." Question answered, moving on.
8) I wasn't ever a huge Starkiller fan in the first place, so I can't really judge that one.
9) Never got to play it, so I can't judge. But I hope for the author's sake that there's more to this than a British accent.
10) Never got to play this, either. Still, I hear Roman is a contender to the throne of annoyance.
11) Yes. Yes. Oh, goodness, yes. Agreed. Though I wouldn't say "Almost everyone." More like "The vocal minority."
12) ...and this one made me nerd-rage. Fear =/= cowardice. The likable thing about Luigi is that he's afraid, but he does what needs to be done anyway. Plus, he's not really that cowardly in most games (I count SSB Brawl, Luigi's Mansion, The Mario & Luigi series as his points of cowardice.) Besides, I think it's enjoyable to watch him flip out, because in all honesty, that's probably what the average person would be doing when faced with a giant fire-breathing turtle.
13) The repeated "Shoryuken" is annoying, but I didn't think it was that bad. Your mileage may vary.
14) I don't agree, but I understand that most people will. Personally, I thought Navi was helpful in the game (voice acting and all,) and the real hate should have been directed toward that stupid owl and his unskippable speeches.
15) I can see this one. Newer MK games have lessened its power a bit (you can mushroom-boost out of the blast if you have good timing,) but still irritating. Unfortunately, it's not exactly a character.
16) The author is going back and fourth between faulting a character due to a franchise and faulting a character due to a single game. By this logic, Mario is a terrible character because of "Hotel Mario." In games where you could control him independently, I think Tails was pretty great. He was just as fast as sonic, and could FLY. Yeah.
17) The first line of the paragraph is "I've never really 'got' Pokémon." Clearly, he is in a position to judge the characters. To be fair, you don't have to be involved in a medium to see its annoying characters, but to condemn an entire franchise that you haven't really gotten in to?
18) I need to go back and replay this. YMMV, from what I gather.
19) That's not true! She was in "Super Princess Peach..." oh, never mind. Yeah, I agree with this one.
20) Ah, the character that made the term "Escort mission" into something hateworthy.
