MTV or Adult Swim?

MTV has shows like Undergrads, Clone High, Celebrity Deathmatch, and Beavis & Butt-head. [adult swim] has stuff like Aquateen Hunger Force, Metalocalypse, Robot Chicken, and Harvey Birdman.

Supposing you've watched any of these shows, which do you think is better? Which shows are your favourites? What are some others you watch on these networks?

Personally, I'm drowning myself in Metalocalypse right now, so.. I'm currently pulling for [adult swim].

There isn't much I like on either, but adult swim have Metalocalypse so they win no contest.

[adult swim] for sure. MTV HAD good shows but has since replaced them with Jersey Bollocking Shore and the like. Swim hasn't failed me yet (though, I'm not usually up to watch it anymore; being a teacher I'm required to wake up VERY early).

I won't lie, MTV was definitely at one time relevant to the fringe animation scene (you totally forgot to mention Liquid Television! Great stuff!), but have they contributed anything in the last ten years even? Adult Swim is an evolution of that MTV fringe animation scene. With that said, I'll never understand the appeal of Metalocalypse. Bad music, kinda dumb, THIS was made by the same people who gave us the excellent Home Movies?

Side note, anyone ever watch Superjail? If anythings directly reminiscent of the heyday of MTV cartoons, it's that show.

Adult Swim. They have and always will show cartoons. MTV started caring to much about Real WOrld and The Airheads that live in New Jersey.

MTV was awesome when I was young, back in the days of Liquid Television (The Maxx, Aeon Flux), and Beavis and Butthead was quite amusing to a 12 year old.

Sadly, they don't do anything that cool any more so it's going to have to be [adult swim] even if not every show they put out is awesome (seriously love Venture and Boondocks, never really enjoyed Super Jail).

Hmmm to be honest I'm not sure, MTV had Daria (which am still surprised no one mentioned yet) while Adult Swim has the Boondocks, to me it is pretty much a tie, although I would never bother watching MTV now.

Yea, I haven't seen a good show on Mtv since the 90s. Adult Swim isn't perfect (they did give those Tim and Eric guys 2 shows) but with Boondocks, Venture Bros, and Robot Chicken I can forgive the imperfections.

My vote goes hands-down to Adult Swim. Yeah they have some pretty stupid shows like Tim and Eric, but they make up for it with the really good ones like Metalocalypse, Boondocks and especially The Venture Brothers.

I like [Adult Swim] but I can rarely find it.
Can anyone tell me where it's on?

It's on Cartoon Network late at night. I think the exact hours are from 11PM to 5 in the morning.

Then again, you can just watch the shows online if you can't find it.
