MUDs?

Who on the Escapist plays MUDs. Y'know, just plain text-based games that are the essence of simplicity. Sometimes I find that plain games like these are better than some of the Next-Gen games out now.

So, who here plays the text?

I will take any MUD/MUSH or MOO over the tripe that is the modern day MMO market.

Though I like to be old school, I also like to be able to see things. Don't like em.

I really can't get into text based games, heck I can't get into point and click adventures

you know except for FPSs, they totally count as point and click adventures

I used to be into them a lot, but kinda drifted after I realized that the roleplaying in most of those games was completely bullshit.

I can never get myself into MUD. At least the automated ones.
I do enjoy good old school text RPGs, so long as it provide an actual story or has people on the other side of the screen to make the story. But most of the MUDs you see online are rather lacking.

And the good ones are always vanishing due to lack-of-funding.

I suppose it costs more to put an effort into things.
I'm all ears if anyone finds a good one though.

There was one, called: "hidden worlds", but I don't know if it's still up.
