Not a fan of the mullet. The only one who makes it look good is a fictional character in a video game.

I'd also like to put forth one of the few hairstyles that makes me want to punch someone (preferrably the one with the hairstyle in question).

Oh, you look so dark and brooding and cool. How's it feel to not be able to see for shit, you pansy?

Unfortunately people around my area don't realise that. They have their mullets and their fob patches, so many have this too, it's not like 1 or 2 people have the mullets, it's a good chunk of the people between 14-20. I don't live out in the country either, I only live about an hour drive from Sydney.
Spend a month or so fishing then have Mullet For A Mullet Day where you throw mullets and any other fish you've caught at people with mullets.

I think that pretty much explains why the style is stupid.
How'd they get so popular then? pretty much everyone in the 80's had one.
Just because it was popular in the eighties, doesn't mean it was a good idea...

Taking massive amounts of acid was popular.

Not to mention Parachute Pants...

Mullets scream "mid-life crisis" to me. I guess that's because in the UK it's usually the middle-aged guys who have them. Especially my dad, who's aiming for a Jack Nicholson look but it's turning out more hobo than high flyer.

Parachute pants were designed to be worn by one person and one person only...

Hgnnh.... I guess it's good of them to epitomise the scourge of "talent telly" in an easy to manage twin set.

I wanna see buzzcuts all round dammit!

giant 80's hair! haha.. i'm sooo glad im too young to have experienced that
that being said, i'm personally a huge fan of the mullet.. i dont find it to be particularly attractive in the least, i find it hilarious.. my boyfriend/fiance is 10 years older than me and my favourite picture of him is one that his Mom gave me in which he has this sweet feathered Bon Jovi mullet.. so awesome. i framed it and put it in our living room.. it's always brought up in conversation by visitors lol

Rollins, the scene is yours.

I <3 Hank.

I hate mullets enough to be offended by most.

In fact, I take pics of "Offensive Mullets" and send them to a friend so that she might share in the pain.

...she does the same to me. Dammit...

You answered your own question. The 80's was a ludicrous time.

OT: They're among humanities worst crimes. THEY ARE JUST THAT BAD.

You mean this lawn? *Stomps on flowers*
But seriously, I'll answer this with something I said earlier

It's very over the top, but it can look good on some people. My friend had one, and it suited him quite well.

Bah ha ha! I completely agree with you here, but as someone before me said, *some* people can pull it off. They are just few and far in between.

That being said, I despise white men with dreads. No, just...no. -F

I don't see enough mullets to justify it being my most hated. It is stupid, though.

No, I'm sick of seeing half the asians at my university "style" their hair in the exact same anime-way.

It looks cool in a way, but seriously? You look like Bon Jovi!

I knew this guy in my school who had the longest thinnest mullet I've ever seen and one night his sister and her friends got drunk pinned him down and shaved the wretched thing off.

OT. im trying to grow my hair long and its like my half of my hair wants to grow into a mullet and the other half loaths the idea and is attmepting to curl my hair back round.

Well in the 80's lots of people had them., It was a very popular style. Of course if you look back at any hair style 20 years later it looks ridiculous. Go ahead, take a picture of your self right now. Then in 20 - 30 years show it to a teenager. They will laugh at you. It is the way of things. And the way things should be. :)

Why a mullet? The loser should get a skullet. Mullets are generally hated because they're very stupid and make anyone wearing one look like a total prick.

And speaking of skullets, I saw an amazing one the other day.
