Wait, will the pc only have lan play then? Or can you play it without a mouse?

I guess you could use a wireless controller, but still.

For console games I hate, hate, haaaaate online multiplayer. It's local or bust.

For PC I don't really see how it can work. Not having online for that platform is... Baffling, to say the least.

My purchase has also been cut. I have a buddy who loves DnD:Heroes (we have yet to figure out why, but he does). When I found the trailer for this game I immediately sent it to him, and we got pretty excited about it. It already kinda sucked that it was only 2 player co-op, but we were willing to deal if we could play from separate houses.

TL;DR : Online co-op was why I was excited for this game. Without it, no purchase.

Oh well though. Here's hoping that once it gets into the hands of dem filthy pirates someone finds a way to patch the online code back in (even if it's through tunnelling software).

Push back the release then, if you've mucked it up. Don't release half a game, you muppets.

I've always loved Tomb Raider but I'm finding it really hard to get excited about this.

I think that Eidos (well... Square Enix) should let it rest and work on a new adventure series.

I was disappointed with Underworld and enjoyed Legend but not as much as Core's games.

I am definitely saddened by this news, it looked like promising online fun. But alas, now I don't need to debate about the steam offer.

" It's hard to say what affect this will have on sales,"

It'll hurt the PC ones a lot I'm guessing. PC gamers don't tend to care about the disappearance of split-screen for a reason.
It might not hurt the PC sales that much, steam still has it listed as Multiplayer and Co-op, and says this in the description.

"First ever co-op multiplayer action/adventure game featuring Lara Croft. Fully cooperative online and offline story mode."

Now this will piss a few people off if they haven't heard about this.

FINE! I am fine with games being offline co-op anyway. I play League of Legends way too much lately, it's nice having some bloody couch time with a friend. I have hated the shift away from split screen/offline.

It should still appear in the game's News stream on Steam though, so hopefully not too many people will be caught out.

Well its been on a pre-purchase deal for a week or so now, and there isn't anything in the news stream as of yet, so I shall expect some backlash for this error

Guess so, although pre-orders can be refunded on Steam as long as you tell them that's what you want before the game launches.
