Multiplayer Purgatory

So recently I haven't been interested in most of the games coming out lately, and when that happens I usually find an interesting online multiplayer game until the next game i'm looking forward to comes out. Problem is all of my usual multiplayer games have lost their interest. Does anyone have any suggestions for a multiplayer game that is hopefully a bit unique, and not a first person shooter, fighter, or a racing game. Much appreciated.

Got bored with WoW a while back. Basically looking for a different MMO, a RTS, or something unique. I am tired of online games that all feel to play the same.

Play some Company of Heroes, or a Total War game. How about StarCraft? That game is always fun and people would still be playing that online as well.

It looks like there is a new total war game out, seems like my cup of tea, may try it out, thanks for advice.
