Singleplayer whenever im bored.

MP whenever i want to have fun with a friend. Preferably in a COOP game. And there are not enough coop games.

CONGRATS!!!!

Also, single player. Always. I've never played multiplayer since I'm really not interested in being insulted via web (or in person, for that matter). Plus, like OP, my Internet connection sucks monkey balls with whale pubic hair (ew...), so I'm not really sure it could work online...

Depends on the Game.
I do love a great Single player but, its fun to actually play with other people.

Completely off-topic!

I remember your avatar. He was the shop keeper in Xenon 2 - and your nick is a reference to the 'Super nashwan power' you could get at something like the first 10 seconds of the next level.

Damn my parents played the hell out of that game on the Amiga. Fun times. :D
Lol for a moment there I felt cool, then realised basically I am old. At 32 years of age now, I was playing that game when I was about 10 :( And I had an awesome joystick with the best auto-fire in the business. My god that is so 80's....
Ahh yes auto-fire. Saved my life many-a time. I'm 23, and I feel your pain :D

I like playing with a friend (singular, I'm a sad loner :p) but not against him. The internet isn't so much full of stupid kids, it's too full of skilled or at least obsessed people that I feel rather inferior most of the time, so I don't bother.

So I'm stuck with single player. That used to be a blessing, but... jesus, have you seen some of the crap publishers call "games" these days? Ugh.

Multiplayer, although I do like my single-player games as well. I just like being competitive and having a nice challenge, that's all.

I don't care. I've got plenty of single player and multiplayer games and it really depends on my mood. Sometimes I want to play a bit of Fallout 3 and sometimes I want to play some Counter-Strike: Source.

I've always just thought that multiplayer just wasn't any fun. I love playing with people in the same room, but not as much as I enjoy having a party. Online play is just kind of a wasteland of abusive idiots combined with a game that is really, really repetitive, and never as much fun as singleplayer.

Co-op with friends is the best. It's part of the reason I love the fighting game genre so much. keeping actual socializing and games together.
Because playing any fighting game over the internet sucks. And SP, well, the computer can only do so much.

I'm in the middle. I love a good story, but at the same time playing games alone feels kinda pointless. But, since my LIVE expired, I've been appreciating single-player gaming a fair bit more - like BioShock instead of Halo: Reach.
Give this man a cookie.

OT: Generally speaking, I look for a great single player more than a great multi player. Both are good, and each game has its own specialization. But I would normally prefer a game with a good story and single player.

Games with a multiplayer function (coop) has a higher replayability value than singleplayer-only games.

Growing up with a brother who was pain to play multiplayer with (the type that finds more amusement in killing other players or just generally being annoying then actually playing the game) I pretty much learned to exclusively play single player. While I still find multiplayer games to be fun with my friends, I can easily live without it.

if its just single player or multiplayer, then single player for sure, but if there is an option for co op then i'd pick that a billion times over, i love co opppp

Single player almost exclusively. I can probably count on two hands how many games I actually play multiplayer for, and only on one hand if we're talking competetive multiplayer. I really only like multiplayer that is laid back and not terribly competitive. I am personally enjoying the Dead Rising 2 multiplayer. It's not GOOD multiplayer, but it's laid back. You get bragging rights for being first, but you still get to transfer money to single player even if you're last.

My girlfriend are always on the hunt for good co-op that can be played on a single TV, but it's rare that we find one.
