well it wasn't when he was smoking, he got mad because he was so addicted to it and couldn't buy some so he drank alcohol to relive himself instead. He also smoked crack. Either way it was still hell.

I would say that the other substances that he used might have contributed to his abusive nature more than marijuana did. Marijuana isn't physically addictive like alcohol, tobacco, and other hard drugs are.

If anything, marijuana calms a person down, doesn't make them aggressive, compared to things like alcohol and crack/cocaine.

Again, I'm sorry to hear that and can only hope that you and your Mother are out of that situation.
