So yesterday I stumbled upon this on song:

I've known OF this band for a long time, and might even have heard a few of their songs, but it's not until I heard this song that I realized that this band has made a lot of songs about gaming (for example, they have another song called Crouching Camper Hidden Sniper).

I find this to be a very rare thing among big artists. This is a band that has released four albums and they tour quite a bit.

Does anyone know of other bands similar to this? It seems pretty hard to find "professional" bands that does music around gaming (and yes, I've already bought all of MiracleOfSound's songs, and played them to death).

We got one who used to(or still does) post his game inspired songs on this site. I thought a few were ok, but in some cases the lyrics didn't make much sense. The instruments are awesome though.

Edit: Listened up a bit more. Scratch my comment about the lyrics. Only the chorus to Gordon Freeman Saved My Life that I don't care for really.

I only know of two songs by Within Temptation regarding the MMO Spellborn: The Howling and Sounds of Freedom.

Not a professional band but he does do songs about games and they are worth a laugh.

Basshunter - Vi sitter i Ventrilo och spelar DotA. It's a song about a guy sitting on ventrilo and playing Defense of the Ancients (DotA), a Warcraft III mod. And the guy who wrote it is Swedish.

This one actually blew up a little over here in the uk, in the grime scene at least. Probably because the host basically the only grime show on the radio is massively into Street Fighter.
