I agree with the metal thing, especially if they're into atmospheric metal.

Atmospheric metal is very mentally stimulating.

Actually, I think people who have a broader taste in music are the most intelligent, since they have a higher attention span.

I may be a metalhead, but I like a lot of different stuff, ambient, neoclassical, indie, punk, hardcore punk, Goth rock, progressive rock, neofolk, folk punk and so on.

I have agree with this.

I listen to metal, but I'm positive that I'm not some sort of elite of intelligence because of it.

Also, I got to a pretty diverse school with dipshits in every musical clique.
